From a letter written by the apostle Paul
to Timothy:
Let as many servants as are under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honour, that the name of God and his doctrine be not blasphemed. And they that have believing masters, let them not despise them, because they are brethren; but rather do them service, because they are faithful and beloved, partakers of the benefit. These things teach and exhort. If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness; He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings, Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.-1 Timothy 6:1-5***Months after Moses and his older brother Aaron led their fellow Israelites away from Egyptian slavery, across the divinely parted Red Sea, and into the desert wilderness of Shur, according to the commands of the Lord God. Moses was upon Mount Sinai 40 days and nights with the Lord God. The Lord God gave Moses commands for the offering the Israelites were to willingly bring and the tabernacle and sacred items the Israelites were to make. The Lord God told Moses that only Aaron and Aaron's sons and the sons born to their descendants were to serve the Lord God as priests, and the Lord God gave Moses commands for the garments and items that the Israelites were to make for Aaron and Aaron's sons. The Lord God told Moses and Aaron that the Levites, the Israelites from the tribe of Levi, the birth tribe of Aaron and Moses, were not to inherit any portion of the Promised Land. Canaan, the Promised Land, was the land inhabited by idolaters that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham (Abram the Hebrew), and to Abraham's son Isaac, and to Isaac's youngest fraternal twin son Jacob (Israel), and to their descendants. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that some priests and prophets of the Lord God did not obey the commands of the Lord God. Nadab and Abihu, 2 of the sons born to Aaron and Elisheba, offered strange fire before the Lord God and were devoured by fire and died. Hophni and Phinehas, the sons of Eli the priest, behaved wickedly at the tabernacle complex in Shiloh in the Promised Land, and their lives were ended according to the will of the Lord God. Samuel, the priest, prophet and judge from the tribe of Jacob's 3rd born son Levi, faithfully served the Lord God. Samuel's sons Joel and Abiah (Vashni and Abijah), sought bribes and did not worship the Lord God. Over 1,000 years after Samuel anointed Saul, from the tribe of Jacob's 12th and last son Benjamin, to reign as king and anointed David, from the tribe of Jacob's 4th born son Judah, to reign as king, John the Baptist and Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, were born. John the Baptist was born into the tribe of Levi to Zechariah (Zacharias) the priest and his wife Elizabeth (Elisabeth). Jesus the Christ was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Elizabeth's relative Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Approximately 30 years after John the Baptist and Jesus the Christ were born, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by John the Baptist. Jesus having prayed, the heavens tearing open, the Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus. The Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. Jesus fasted 40 days and nights and was tempted. Afterwards, Jesus was tended to by angels, and Jesus went to the area near John the Baptist, and John the Baptist proclaimed Jesus to be the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the world. In Galilee, Jesus told specific Israelite men to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites, the treasured and chosen people of the Lord God. Less than 3 1/2 years after Jesus was baptized, Jesus was betrayed by Judas Iscariot the disciple and apostle, and Jesus was arrested, crucified, buried in a tomb, resurrected, and returned to heaven. Paul (Saul) was an Israelite from the tribe of Benjamin and did not believe Jesus to be the Christ. Throughout Jerusalem, Paul persecuted and imprisoned Israelites who believed Jesus to be the Christ of God. When Paul was journeying to the synagogues in Damascus, Syria, to find, bind and take to Jerusalem any Israelite believers he found, Paul and those with him saw a light from heaven flash around them. Paul heard the voice of Jesus speaking to him, and Paul spoke to Jesus and obeyed Jesus. In Damascus Paul was baptized. From thenceforward, Paul the apostle journeyed and wrote divinely inspired letters, teaching Israelites and Gentiles, people not born into the Israelite tribes, the good news of Jesus the Christ and everlasting life. After Paul met Timothy (Timotheus), Paul circumcised Timothy, journeyed with Timothy, sent Timothy on journeys, received messages from Timothy, wrote divinely inspired letters to Timothy, and thought of Timothy as a brother and son.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Leviticus 8:1-9:24, Numbers 18:1-32, 20:1-29, 27:12-23, 35:1-34, Deuteronomy 18:1-22, 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 18:1-10, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-2:23, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings 1:1-2:12, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 6:1-81, 10:1-29:30, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26, 6:1-8:4, 11:19-28:31, Romans, 1 Corinthians, 2 Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, 1 Thessalonians, 2 Thessalonians, 1 Timothy, 2 Timothy, Titus, Philemon
