...................................................................LET US LEARN TOGETHER WHAT IS GOOD. Job 34:4b(NIV)................................................................Some people see the Bible as a long and boring book filled with incidents and events from the lives of ancient people who probably never existed. The biblical stories are seen as fables. In this blog, many of the situations and conversations found in the divinely inspired Holy Scriptures have been placed in categories that correspond to expressive sayings and phrases. 'Tis Like

Psalm 29

Give unto the LORD, O ye mighty, give unto the LORD glory and strength. Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness. The voice of the LORD is upon the waters: the God of glory thundereth: the LORD is upon many waters. The voice of the LORD is powerful; the voice of the LORD is full of majesty. The voice of the LORD breaketh the cedars; yea, the LORD breaketh the cedars of Lebanon. He maketh them also to skip like a calf; Lebanon and Sirion like a young unicorn. The voice of the LORD divideth the flames of fire. The voice of the LORD shaketh the wilderness; the LORD shaketh the wilderness of Kadesh. The voice of the LORD maketh the hinds to calve, and discovereth the forests: and in his temple doth every one speak of his glory. The LORD sitteth upon the flood; yea, the LORD sitteth King for ever. The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace.-Psalm 29:1-11/the complete psalm***The Lord God created Adam, the 1st man. The Lord God formed Adam from the dust of the ground, and the Lord God placed Adam in the Garden of Eden. The Lord God made Adam's wife Eve, the mother of all living, after taking a part out of Adam. Sometime after Eve and Adam disobeyed the command of the Lord God, they heard the voice of the Lord God, and the Lord God spoke to them. Adam and Eve's son Seth was the great-great-great-grandfather of Enoch. Enoch was the great-grandfather of Noah the ark builder. Shem was born to Noah, and Shem's son Arphaxad was the great-great-great-great-great-grandfather of Terah. Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai) were born to Terah. Isaac was the only child born to Abraham and Sarah. Jacob (Israel) was the youngest fraternal twin son born to Isaac and  Rebekah. Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun, and daughter Dinah were born to Jacob and his 1st wife Leah. Dan and Naphtali were born to Jacob and Bilhah, the maidservant of Jacob's 2nd wife Rachel. Gad and Asher were born to Jacob and Zilpah, Leah's maidservant. Joseph and Benjamin were born to Jacob and Rachel. Over 300 years after 147-year-old Jacob died in Egypt, and his children buried his body in Canaan, and Joseph, Levi and their siblings were dead, Miriam and her younger brothers Aaron and Moses were born into the tribe of Levi. When Moses was 80 years old, he heard the voice of the Lord God speaking to him from a bush that was afire at Mount Horeb (Sinai), and the Lord God sent Moses and Aaron to speak to the Israelite elders and Pharaoh, the king of Egypt. After the Lord God brought the 10th and final plague upon Pharaoh and Egypt, Moses and Aaron led the Israelites, and those with them, away from Egyptian slavery, across the divinely parted Red Sea, and into the desert wilderness of Shur. In the desert wilderness of Sinai, in the region of Mount Sinai, the Israelites heard the voice of the Lord God proclaim, from out of the midst of the fire upon Mount Sinai, the Ten Commandments. During the 40-year journey to Canaan, the Promised Land, Miriam died and was buried in Kadesh, in the desert wilderness of Zin. Upon Mount Hor, 123-year-old Aaron died and was buried. When Moses went upon Mount Nebo, the Lord God showed Moses the Promised Land, and 120-year-old Moses died and was divinely buried. Joshua, Moses' successor from the tribe of Ephraim, was descended from Joseph and his wife Asenath, and Joseph and Asenath's 2nd born son Ephraim, whom Jacob proclaimed to be his own son. Joshua led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham, and Isaac, and to Jacob, and their descendants. Over 200 years after Joshua died and was buried in his tribe's portion of the Promised Land, Samuel the priest, prophet and judge from the tribe of Levi, was born to Elkanah and Hannah. When Samuel was a child and living at the tabernacle complex in Shiloh, Samuel heard the voice of the Lord God call to him 4 times, and the Lord God gave Samuel a message for Eli the priest. Decades thereafter, Samuel heard the Lord God reveal a message in his ear regarding Saul, an Israelite from the tribe of Benjamin. After Samuel anointed Saul, Saul became the 1st king to reign over the Israelites in the Promised Land. Over 100 years after Saul's self-inflicted death on the battlefield, Elijah the prophet heard a still small voice, soft and gentle, while upon Mount Horeb. Elijah covered his face and spoke with the Lord God at the entryway of a cave on the mountain. Over 800 years after Elijah went up into heaven by a whirlwind, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Approximately 30 years after Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by Mary's relative John the Baptist, from the tribe of Levi. Before Jesus was betrayed, arrested, crucified, buried in a tomb, resurrected, and returned to heaven less than 3 1/2 years after he was baptized, a crowd heard the voice of the Lord God respond to Jesus. However, many of the listeners were not certain of the sound and thought they had perhaps heard thunder or an angel.-Genesis, Exodus, Numbers 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 4:1-5:33, 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-2:23, 1 Samuel 1:1-3:21, 8:1-31:13, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings, 2 Kings 1:1-2:25, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 6:1-81, 7:20-29, 8:1-40, 9:35-44, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26, Acts 6:1-8:4
