...................................................................LET US LEARN TOGETHER WHAT IS GOOD. Job 34:4b(NIV)................................................................Some people see the Bible as a long and boring book filled with incidents and events from the lives of ancient people who probably never existed. The biblical stories are seen as fables. Notably, Romans 15:4 reveals: For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.(KJV) In this blog, many of the situations and conversations found in the divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible have been placed in categories that correspond to expressive sayings and phrases. Reference information, background information and links connecting the people and places are given to help you find a place to begin reading the Bible for yourself.

The One Specific Place

And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, Speak unto Aaron and to his sons, saying, This is the law of the sin offering: In the place where the burnt offering is killed shall the sin offering be killed before the LORD: it is most holy. The priest that offereth it for sin shall eat it: in the holy place shall it be eaten, in the court of the tabernacle of the congregation. Whatsoever shall touch the flesh thereof shall be holy: and when there is sprinkled of the blood thereof upon any garment, thou shalt wash that whereon it was sprinkled in the holy place. But the earthen vessel wherein it is sodden shall be broken: and if it be sodden in a brasen pot, it shall be both scoured, and rinsed in water. All the males among the priests shall eat thereof: it is most holy. And no sin offering, whereof any of the blood is brought into the tabernacle of the congregation to reconcile withal in the holy place, shall be eaten: it shall be burnt in the fire.-Leviticus 6:24-30***Moses and his older siblings Miriam and Aaron were Israelites from the tribe of Levi, descended from Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai), Isaac and Rebekah, Jacob (Israel) and Leah, and Jacob and Leah's 3rd born son Levi. When Moses was 80 years old and Aaron was 83, the Lord God sent them to speak to the Israelite elders and Pharaoh, the king of Egypt. After the Lord God brought the 10th and final plague upon Pharaoh and Egypt, Moses and Aaron led the Israelites, and those with them, away from Egyptian slavery, across the divinely parted Red Sea, and into the desert wilderness of Shur. Months thereafter, in the desert wilderness of Sinaiin the region of Mount Sinai, the Israelites were consecrated according to the commands that the Lord God gave Moses. The Lord God descended upon Mount Sinai, and the Israelites heard Moses speak to the Lord God. Moreover, the Israelites heard the voice of the Lord God proclaim  the Ten Commandments to them. The Israelites became afraid and stated reasons for Moses to speak to them. The Lord God told Moses that the Israelites had spoken well and the Lord God said he would speak to Moses and Moses was to teach the Israelites the commandments, judgments and statutes. The Lord God made a covenant  with the Israelites, and Moses sprinkled the blood of the covenant upon the Israelites. When Moses was on Mount Sinai for 40 days and nights with the Lord God, Moses received commands from the Lord God for the offering, and the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and the transportable tabernacle, the altar of burnt offering, and the other sacred items that the Israelites were to make. The Lord God told Moses that only Aaron and Aaron's sons and the sons of their descendants were to serve the Lord God as priests. The burnt offering and sin offering, whether ox, sheep, goats, turtledoves, or young pigeons, were only to be killed at the tabernacle on the north side of the altar of burnt offering. The sin offering could also be fine flourOver 1,400 years after the Lord God gave Moses, 2 separate times, 2 stone tablets whereupon were written, with the finger of God, the Ten Commandments, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Approximately 30 years after Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by Mary's relative John the Baptist, from the tribe of Levi. Jesus having prayed, the heavens tearing open, the Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus. The Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. Jesus fasted for 40 days and nights and was tempted. Afterwards, Jesus was tended to by angels, and Jesus went to the area near John the Baptist, and John the Baptist proclaimed Jesus to be the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the world.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers 3:1-4:49, 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 6:1-81, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26, Hebrews 9:1-13:25
