...................................................................LET US LEARN TOGETHER WHAT IS GOOD. Job 34:4b(NIV)................................................................Some people see the Bible as a long and boring book filled with incidents and events from the lives of ancient people who probably never existed. The biblical stories are seen as fables. In this blog, many of the situations and conversations found in the divinely inspired Holy Scriptures have been placed in categories that correspond to expressive sayings and phrases. Reference information, background information and links connecting the people and places are given to help you find a place to begin reading the Bible for yourself.

Him, too

After these things Jesus walked in Galilee: for he would not walk in Jewry, because the Jews sought to kill him. Now the Jews' feast of tabernacles was at hand. His brethren therefore said unto him, Depart hence, and go into Judaea, that thy disciples also may see the works that thou doest. For there is no man that doeth any thing in secret, and he himself seeketh to be known openly. If thou do these things, shew thyself to the world. For neither did his brethren believe in him. Then Jesus said unto them, My time is not yet come: but your time is alway ready. The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil. Go ye up unto this feast: I go not up yet unto this feast: for my time is not yet full come. When he had said these words unto them, he abode still in Galilee. But when his brethren were gone up, then went he also up unto the feast, not openly, but as it were in secret.-John 7:1-10***Moses was an Israelite from the tribe of Levi. When the Lord God gave Moses some of the commands for the yearly Feast of Tabernacles (Feast of Booths/Ingathering), the Lord God commanded that every Israelite man was to appear before the Lord God in a specified place in the Promised Land and offer the appropriate sacrifices. Over 400 years after Joshua, Moses' successor, led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the Promised Land, Solomon, the 2nd son born to King David and Bathsheba, became the 3rd king to reign over all of the Israelites in the Promised Land. In Jerusalem, the royal city, Solomon built the temple of the Lord God. After the sacred items, including the ark of the covenant of the Lord, were placed inside the temple, and after Solomon blessed the Israelites and the Lord God, and Solomon prayed to the Lord God, the Lord God appeared and spoke to Solomon. The Lord God told Solomon that he had chosen the temple as a house of sacrifices. Thus, the Israelites were to come to the temple in Jerusalem to present their sacrifices to the Lord God. Over 900 years after Rehoboam, the son born to Solomon and Naamah, became the 4th king to reign over all of the Israelites, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, into the tribe of Judah, the birth tribe of David and his descendants, to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Sometime after Jesus was born, Joseph, Mary and Jesus stayed in Egypt for awhile, according to the words spoken to Joseph by an angel of the Lord. After Joseph heard another message from an angel of the Lord, and after receiving another divine warning, Joseph, Mary and Jesus lived in Nazareth in Galilee. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that other children lived in the household. Approximately 30 years after Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by Mary's relative John the Baptist. The Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus, and the Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. For 40 days Jesus fasted and was tempted. Afterwards, Jesus was tended to by angels, and Jesus went to the area near John the Baptist, and Jesus went to GalileeJesus told specific Israelite men to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites. After Jesus healed a man on the Sabbath day, and miraculously fed thousands, and explained to listeners that he was the bread of life, the time for the Feast of Tabernacles was close and Jesus was urged to journey to Judea. Jerusalem and the temple of the Lord were in Judea. Galilee was the province in the north and Judea was the province in the south, and the Roman Empire was ruling the land whereupon the kingdoms of the Israelites previously stood.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Leviticus 23:1-44, Numbers 20:1-29, 27:1-12, 29:1-40, Deuteronomy 16:1-22, 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua  1:1-4:24, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-2:23, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings, 2 Kings, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 6:1-81, 7:20-29, 10:1-29:30, 2 Chronicles, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26
