...................................................................LET US LEARN TOGETHER WHAT IS GOOD. Job 34:4b(NIV)................................................................Some people see the Bible as a long and boring book filled with incidents and events from the lives of ancient people who probably never existed. The biblical stories are seen as fables. In this blog, many of the situations and conversations found in the divinely inspired Holy Scriptures have been placed in categories that correspond to expressive sayings and phrases. If - Then

And the LORD appeared to Solomon by night, and said unto him, I have heard thy prayer, and have chosen this place to myself for an house of sacrifice. If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people; If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attent unto the prayer that is made in this place. For now have I chosen and sanctified this house, that my name may be there for ever: and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually. And as for thee, if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, and do according to all that I have commanded thee, and shalt observe my statutes and my judgments; Then will I stablish the throne of thy kingdom, according as I have covenanted with David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man to be ruler in Israel. But if ye turn away, and forsake my statutes and my commandments, which I have set before you, and shall go and serve other gods, and worship them; Then will I pluck them up by the roots out of my land which I have given them; and this house, which I have sanctified for my name, will I cast out of my sight, and will make it to be a proverb and a byword among all nations. And this house, which is high, shall be an astonishment to every one that passeth by it; so that he shall say, Why hath the LORD done thus unto this land, and unto this house? And it shall be answered, Because they forsook the LORD God of their fathers, which brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, and laid hold on other gods, and worshipped them, and served them: therefore hath he brought all this evil upon them.-2 Chronicles 7:12-22***After the Lord God told Noah to come out of the ark wherein Noah was living with his wife, their sons, each son's wife, and a multitude of creatures, Noah built an altar and offered sacrifices to the Lord God. After Noah's great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandchildren Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai) arrived in Canaan, the Lord God promised to give Canaan to Abraham's descendants and to Abraham, and Abraham built an altar to the Lord God. When Abraham was 100 years old, Isaac was born to Abraham and 90-year-old Sarah. Decades thereafter, the Lord God promised to give Canaan to Isaac and Isaac's descendants. When Isaac was 40 years old, he married Rebekah, Abraham and Sarah's grandniece. When Isaac was 60 years old, fraternal twin sons Esau (Edom) and Jacob (Israel) were born to Isaac and Rebekah. When Jacob was journeying to Haran, the Lord God promised to give Canaan to Jacob and Jacob's descendants. In Haran, Jacob was married to Rebekah's nieces Leah and Rachel, the daughters of Rebekah's brother Laban the Syrians (Aramean). Over 300 years after Levi was born to Jacob and Leah, Miriam and her younger brothers Aaron and Moses were born into the tribe of Levi. When Moses was 80 years old and Aaron was 83, they led the Israelites away from Egyptian slaveryacross the divinely parted Red Sea, and into the desert wilderness of Shur, according to the commands of the Lord God. Shortly thereafter, the Lord God gave the Israelites the victory over Amalekite attackers, and Moses built an altar to the Lord God. In the desert wilderness of Sinai, in the region of Mount Sinai, Moses, Aaron, Aaron's sons Nadab and Abihu, and 70 Israelite elders went upon Mount Sinai and were in the presence of the Lord God. Afterwards, Moses was upon Mount Sinai with the Lord God for 40 days and nights. The Lord God gave Moses commands for receiving an offering, and the Lord God described and showed to Moses the details for making the tabernacle, the gold covered ark of the covenant of the Lord and the solid gold mercy seat, the gold covered table for the showbread, the solid gold Lampstand, the garments and items for the priests, the brass (copper/bronze) altar of burnt offering, and the gold covered altar of incense. The Lord God commanded Moses to make the altar of burnt offering of shittim (acacia) wood, overlay the altar with brass (copper/bronze), and place the altar in front of the entrance to the tabernacle, between the door and the basin. During the 40-year journey to Canaan, the Promised Land, Miriam died and was buried in Kadesh, in the desert wilderness of Zin. Upon Mount Hor, 123-year-old Aaron died and was buried. When Moses went upon Mount Nebo, the Lord God showed Moses the Promised Land, and 120-year-old Moses died and was divinely buried. Joshua, Moses'  successor from the tribe of Ephraim, was descended from Jacob and Rachel's firstborn son Joseph and his wife Asenath, and Joseph and Asenath's 2nd born son Ephraim, whom Jacob proclaimed to be his own son. Joshua led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the Promised Land. Sometime thereafter, the tabernacle, altars and other sacred items were placed in Shiloh.  Over 300 years after 110-year-old Joshua died and was buried in his tribe's portion of the Promise Land, David, from the tribe of Jacob and Leah's 4th born son Judah, became the 2nd king to reign over all of the Israelites. Solomon, the 2nd child born to David and Bathsheba, was the 3rd king to reign over all of the Israelites. During Solomon's reign, the tabernacle, altar and sacred items were in Gibeon. The ark of the covenant of the Lord was in a specific  tent in the City of David. In Jerusalem, after Solomon built the temple of the Lord on property David purchased from Araunah (Ornan) the Jebusite, the temple became the holy place of worship and the ark of the covenant was set inside in the Most Holy Place inside the temple. At the dedication ceremony, Solomon stood, then knelt, upon a brass (copper/bronze) scaffold while praying and dedicating the temple. The new altar for burnt offerings was on the ground in front of Solomon, constructed according to the commands David received from the Spirit of the Lord and the hand of the Lord upon him. Shortly after the praise, prayer and dedication, the Lord God appeared to Solomon. Rehoboam, the son born to Solomon and Naamah, was the 4th king to reign over all of the Israelites. After Rehoboam gave a specific answer, the Israelites split into 2 kingdoms, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of Solomon. Judah was the nation in the south, Jerusalem was the royal city, and Jeroboam was the 1st king to reign. Israel was the northern nation, Samaria was the final royal city and Jeroboam, the son born to Nebat and Zeruah, was the 1st king to reign. King Pekah was the 18th king to rule over all of the Israelites in the northern nation of Israel. During Pekah's 20-year reign, the Assyrians invaded the kingdom and King Tiglath-pileser, ruler of Assyria, began taking Israelites to Assyria. During the 9th year of the reign of King Hoshea, the 19th king to rule the northern nation, the Assyrians conquered Samaria, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of the Israelites. Rehoboam's great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandson Jehoiakim (Eliakim) was the 17th king to rule Judah. During Jehoiakim's 11-year reign, the Babylonians (Chaldeans) invaded Judah and Jerusalem and King Nebuchadnezzar, ruler of Babylon, began looting the temple of the Lord. Jehoiachin (Jeconiah/Coniah), the son born to Jehoiakim and Nehushta, was the 17th king to rule Judah. During Jehoiachin's 3-month reign, the Babylonians took more prominent Israelites, including Jehoiachin, his wives and mother, to Babylon. During the 11th year of the reign of Jehoiakim's brother King Zedekiah (Mattaniah), the 19th king to rule Judah, the Babylonians conquered Jerusalem, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of the Israelites. Before the Babylonians took another group of Israelites to Babylon, they looted and burned the temple. Over 500 years after Israelites began returning to Judah and Jerusalem and built a new temple, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. During the 12th year after Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary, Joseph and Mary found Jesus in Jerusalem, in the temple of the Lord, listening, asking, understanding, and answering. Approximately 30 years after Jesus was born, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by Mary's relative John the Baptist, from the tribe of Levi. Jesus having prayed, the heavens tearing open, the Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus. The Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. Jesus fasted for 40 days and nights and was tempted. Afterwards, Jesus was tended to by angels, and Jesus went to the area near John the Baptist, and John the Baptist proclaimed Jesus to be the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the world. In Galilee, Jesus told specific Israelite men to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites. In Jerusalem, Jesus rid the temple of vendors, money changers and animals. Immediately thereafter, Jesus made a proclamation about the temple. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that Jesus was speaking about his body.-Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus 1:1-10:20, Numbers 7:1-89, 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 12:1-13:18, 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-2:23, Ruth, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings, 2 Kings, 1 Chronicles, 2 Chronicles, Ezra, Nehemiah, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26
