From a letter written by the apostle Paul
to Titus:
But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine: That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience. The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.-Titus 2:1-5***The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that the Lord God created Adam, the 1st man. The Lord God formed Adam from the dust of the ground. After the Lord God took a part out of Adam, the Lord God made Adam's wife Eve, the mother of all living. Adam died when he was 930 years old. The Lord God took Adam and Eve's great-great-great-great-grandson Enoch when Enoch was 365 years old, yet Enoch was not dead. Enoch's son Methuselah lived for 969 years. Methuselah's grandson Noah the ark builder lived for 950 years. Noah's son Shem lived for at least 600 years. Shem's son Arphaxad lived for 438 years. Arphaxad's great-great-great-great-great-grandson Terah lived for 205 years. Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai) were Terah's children. When Abraham was 86 years old, Ishmael was born to Abraham and Hagar, Sarah's maidservant. When Abraham was 100 years old, Isaac was born to Abraham and 90-year-old Sarah. After 127-year-old Sarah died, Abraham buried Sarah's body in a cave in Canaan, the Promised Land. Sarah was noted for being beautiful, loving, loyal, and obedient to Abraham, and protective of the rights of Isaac. Sarah is the only woman whose length of life is recorded in the Holy Bible. When Isaac was 40 years old, he married Rebekah, Abraham and Sarah's grandniece. When Isaac was 60 years old, fraternal twin sons Esau (Edom) and Jacob (Israel) were born to Isaac and Rebekah. After 175-year-old Abraham died, Ishmael and Isaac buried Abraham's body in the cave wherein the body of Sarah was buried. Rebekah's body was buried in the cave sometime before 180-year-old Isaac died and Esau and Jacob buried Isaac's body in the cave. Over 1,800 years after 147-year-old Jacob died in Egypt and his body was buried in the cave in Canaan, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Jacob's 4th born son Judah, to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Approximately 30 years after Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by Mary's relative John the Baptist. The Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus, and the Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. For 40 days Jesus fasted and was tempted. Afterwards, Jesus was tended to by angels, and Jesus went to the area near John the Baptist, and Jesus went to Galilee. Jesus told specific Israelite men to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites. Less than 3 1/2 years after Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary, Jesus was betrayed, arrested, crucified, buried in a tomb, resurrected, and returned to heaven. Paul (Saul) was from the tribe of Jacob's 12th and last son Benjamin. Paul did not believe Jesus to be the Christ. Throughout Jerusalem, Paul persecuted and imprisoned any Israelite who believed Jesus to be the Christ of God. When Paul was journeying to the synagogues in Damascus in Syria to find, bind and take to Jerusalem any Israelite believers he found, Paul and those with him saw a light from heaven flash around them. Paul heard the voice of Jesus speaking to him, and Paul spoke to Jesus and obeyed Jesus. In Damascus Paul was baptized. From thenceforward, Paul the apostle journeyed and wrote divinely inspired letters, teaching the good news of Jesus the Christ and everlasting life to Israelites and Gentiles, people not born into the Israelite tribes. Titus, a Gentile, believed Jesus to be the Christ.
