...................................................................LET US LEARN TOGETHER WHAT IS GOOD. Job 34:4b(NIV)................................................................Some people see the Bible as a long and boring book filled with incidents and events from the lives of ancient people who probably never existed. The biblical stories are seen as fables. In this blog, many of the situations and conversations found in the divinely inspired Holy Scriptures have been placed in categories that correspond to expressive sayings and phrases. Why, Lord, Why

Then the officers of the children of Israel came and cried unto Pharaoh, saying, Wherefore dealest thou thus with thy servants? There is no straw given unto thy servants, and they say to us, Make brick: and, behold, thy servants are beaten; but the fault is in thine own people. But he said, Ye are idle, ye are idle: therefore ye say, Let us go and do sacrifice to the LORD. Go therefore now, and work; for there shall no straw be given you, yet shall ye deliver the tale of bricks. And the officers of the children of Israel did see that they were in evil case, after it was said, Ye shall not minish ought from your bricks of your daily task. And they met Moses and Aaron, who stood in the way, as they came forth from Pharaoh: And they said unto them, The LORD look upon you, and judge; because ye have made our savour to be abhorred in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of his servants, to put a sword in their hand to slay us. And Moses returned unto the LORD, and said, Lord, wherefore has thou so evil entreated this people? why is it that thou hast sent me? For since I came to Pharaoh to speak in thy name, he hath done evil to this people; neither hast thou delivered thy people at all.-Exodus 5:15-23***The Israelites were in Egypt  according to the request of Joseph, the 1st son born to Jacob (Israel) and his 2nd wife Rachel, and the invitation of Pharaoh, the king of Egypt. Years before 130-year-old Jacob and his entire family moved from Canaan to Egypt, Joseph, who was at least 17 years old, was sold by his brothers to traveling merchants. The merchants sold Joseph to Potiphar, an Egyptian official, and Joseph became the top servant in Potiphar's home. After Potoiphar's wife made a false accusation, Poitphar put Joseph in the king's prison. At least 2 years after Joseph explained the meaning of a dream to both the imprisoned cupbearer and imprisoned baker who served Pharaoh, Joseph explained the meaning of 2 dreams to Pharaoh, and Pharaoh proclaimed Joseph to be second-in-command in Egypt. After 147-year-old Jacob died in Egypt and his bory was buried in Canaan, and after Joseph and his siblings were dead, a different Pharaoh ruled Egypt and schemed to enslave the Israelites. Miriam and her younger brothers Aaron and Moses were born into the tribe of Levi, descended from Jacob and his 1st wife Leah, and Jacob and Leah's 3rd born son Levi. In his plot against the Israelites, Pharaoh commanded that all Israelite (Hebrew) male infants be killed. However, Moses was kept alive and hidden by his parents Amram and Jochebed. After Jochebed placed 3-month-old Moses in a specially built ark, and the ark and Moses were noticed by Pharaoh's daughter, Miriam arranged for Jochebed to serve as the wet-nurse for Moses. After Moses was weaned, Moses lived as the son of Pharaoh's daughter. When Moses was 40 years old, the murder Moses committed was spoken of by an Israelite in the midst of a disturbance. Moses left Egypt, began living in Midian and married Zipporah. Gershom and Eliezer were born to Moses and Zipporah. When Moses was shepherding his father-in-law's sheep, Moses was drawn to a bush that was afire. The Lord God spoke to Moses and told Moses to return to Egypt and speak to Pharaoh and the Israelite elders. Thus, 80-year-old Moses and 83-year-old Aaron spoke to the Israelite elders and to Pharaoh. Shortly thereafter, the Israelite overseers became angry with Moses and Aaron due to harsher working conditions. After the Lord God brought the 10th and final plague upon Pharaoh and Egypt, Moses and Aaron led the Israelites, and those with them, away from Egypt, across the divinely parted Red Sea, and into the desert wilderness of Shur. During their 40-year journey to Canaan, the Promised Land, Miriam died and was buried in Kadesh, in the desert wilderness of Zin. Upon Mount Hor, 123-year-old Aaron died and was buried. When Moses went upon Mount Nebo, the Lord God showed Moses the Promised Land, and 120-year-old Moses died and was divinely buried. Joshua, Moses's successor, was from the tribe of Ephraim, descended from Joseph and his wife Asenath, and Joseph and Asenath's 2nd born son Ephraim, whom Jacob proclaimed to be his own son. Joshua led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the land that the Lord God promised to give to Jacob, and to Jacob's father Isaac, and to Isaac's father Abraham (Abram the Hebrew), and to their descendants. Over 1,300 years after Joshua died and was buried in his tribe's portion of the Promised Land, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Jacob and Leah's 4th born son Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Numbers 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-2:23, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 6:1-81, 7:20-29, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26
