King Saul and David

Jesus the Christ, the Son of God,
and his disciples
Then cometh he to his disciples, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners. Rise, let us be going: behold, he is at hand that doth betray me. And while he yet spake, lo, Judas, one of the twelve, came, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the chief priests and elders of the people. Now he that betrayed him gave them a sign, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is he: hold him fast. And forthwith he came to Jesus, and said, Hail, master; and kissed him. And Jesus said unto him, Friend, wherefore art thou come? Then came they, and laid hands on Jesus, and took him. And, behold, one of them which were with Jesus stretched out his hand, and drew his sword, and struck a servant of the high priest's, and smote off his ear. Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword. Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels? But how then shall the scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be?-Matthew 26:45-54***Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, knew that the elders, chief priests and teachers of the law wanted to kill him, and Jesus knew that Judas Iscariot, his disciple and apostle, would scheme to betray him. Jesus knew when and how the betrayal would occur, and Jesus knew that Judas Iscariot would think he was acting from his own will. Jesus spoke several times to his disciples about his impending death. When the armed group came to arrest Jesus, the disciple and apostle Simon Peter, who had walked on water, and received the revelation of Jesus being the Christ, the Son of the living God, and who had witnessed Jesus transfigured and speaking with Moses and Elijah, 2 prophets who had lived centuries earlier, and who had heard the Lord God speaking to him and James and John when they were enveloped in a cloud, exhibited a specific reaction. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that less than 33 1/2 years after Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and born into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin, Jesus was crucified, buried in a tomb, resurrected, seen by over 500 people, and returned to heaven.-Genesis 11:26-35:29, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26
