...................................................................LET US LEARN TOGETHER WHAT IS GOOD. Job 34:4b(NIV)................................................................Some people see the Bible as a long and boring book filled with incidents and events from the lives of ancient people who probably never existed. The biblical stories are seen as fables. In this blog, many of the situations and conversations found in the divinely inspired Holy Scriptures have been placed in categories that correspond to expressive sayings and phrases. Which One

And the tribes of Israel sent men through all the tribe of Benjamin, saying, What wickedness is this that is done among you? Now therefore deliver us the men, the children of Belial, which are in Gibeah, that we may put them to death, and put away evil from Israel. But the children of Benjamin would not hearken to the voice of their brethren the children of Israel: But the children of Benjamin gathered themselves together out of the cities unto Gibeah, to go out to battle against the children of Israel. And the children of Benjamin were numbered at that time out of the cities twenty and six thousand men that drew sword, beside the inhabitants of Gibeah, which were numbered seven hundred chosen men. Among all this people there were seven hundred chosen men lefthanded; every one could sling stones at a hair breadth, and not miss. And the men of Israel, beside Benjamin, were numbered four hundred thousand men that drew sword: all these were men of war. And the children of Israel arose, and went up to the house of God, and asked counsel of God, and said, Which of us shall go up first to the battle against the children of Benjamin? And the LORD said, Judah shall go up first.-Judges 20:12-18***The Israelite tribes are the family groups descended from the 12 sons born to Jacob (Israel) and his wives Leah and Rachel and maidservants Bilhah and Zilpah. Joseph was the 1st son born to Jacob and Rachel. When Joseph was second-in-command in Egypt, Manasseh and Ephraim were born Joseph and his wife Asenath. After Jacob and his entire family moved from Canaan to Egypt, at the request of Joseph, and the permission and invitation of Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, Jacob proclaimed Manasseh and Ephraim to be his own sons. The tribe of Joseph became identified as the tribe of Manasseh and the tribe of Ephraim. Sometime after Jacob died in Egypt and his body was buried in Canaan, and Joseph and his siblings were dead, the Israelites were enslaved in Egypt. Aaron and his brother Moses were born into the tribe of Levi. When Moses was 80 years old and Aaron was 83, they led the Israelites away from Egypt, across the divinely parted Red Sea, and into the desert wilderness, according to the commands of the Lord God. During the 40th year of their journey to Canaan, the Promised Land, Aaron died and was buried upon Mount Hor, and Moses went upon Mount Nebo. The Lord God showed Moses the Promised Land, and Moses died and was divinely buried. Joshua, Moses' successor, was from the tribe of Ephraim. Joshua led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the land that the Lord God promised to give to Jacob, and to Jacob's father Isaac, and to Isaac's father Abraham (Abram the Hebrew), and to their descendants. After Joshua died and was buried in his tribe's portion of the Promised Land, the Israelites were led by elders, judges or their own minds. During this era, a group of men from the tribe of Benjamin attacked and sexually abused the concubine of an Israelite from the tribe of Levi, and the concubine died. Afterwards, the Benjamites fought in battles against the other Israelite tribes. When Samuel, the priest, prophet and judge from the tribe of Levi, was quite old, the Israelites demanded that he set a king to govern them. Samuel anointed Saul, from the tribe of Benjamin, to reign as king, according to the command of the Lord God. Approximately 1,000 years after David, from the tribe of Judah, became the 2nd king to reign over all of the Israelites, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Numbers 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 23:1-24:33, Judges, 1 Samuel 1:1-3:21, 8:1-31:13, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings 1:1-2:12, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 8:1-40, 9:35-29:30, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26
