Big-Time Plan

Moreover the Philistines had yet war again with Israel; and David went down, and his servants with him, and fought against the Philistines: and David waxed faint. And Ishbi-benob, which was of the sons of the giant, the weight of whose spear weighed three hundred shekels of brass in weight, he being girded with a new sword, thought to have slain David. But Abishai the son of Zeruiah succoured him, and smote the Philistine, and killed him. Then the men of David sware unto him, saying, Thou shalt go no more out with us to battle, that thou quench not the light of Israel. And it came to pass after this, that there was again a battle with the Philistines at Gob: then Sibbechai the Hushathite slew Saph, which was of the sons of the giant. And there was again a battle in Gob with the Philistines, where Elhanan the son of Jaare-oregim, a Bethlehemite, slew the brother of Goliath the Gittite, the staff of whose spear was like a weaver's beam. And there was yet a battle in Gath, where was a man of great stature, that had on every hand six fingers, and on every foot six toes, four and twenty in number; and he also was born to the giant. And when he defied Israel, Jonathan the son of Shimeah the brother of David slew him. These four were born to the giant in Gath, and fell by the hand of David, and by the hand of his servants.-2 Samuel 21:15-22***The Philistines were the descendants of Ham, and Ham was the son of Noah the ark builder. The Israelites were the descendants of Noah's son's Shem, Shem's son Arphaxad, Arphaxad's great-great-great-great-great-grandson Terah, Terah's children Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai), their son Isaac and his wife Rebekah, Isaac and Rebekah's youngest fraternal twin son Jacob (Israel) and his wives Leah and Rachel and maidservants Bilhah and Zilpah, and the 12 sons born to Jacob, his wives and maidservants. In Gerar in Canaan, Abraham entered into an agreement of peace with the Philistine king of Gerar. Decades thereafter, Isaac entered into an agreement of peace with the Philistine king of Gerar and the 2 men with the king. Sometime after 147-year-old Jacob died in Egypt and his body was buried in Canaan, and Jacob's children were dead, their descendants the Israelites were enslaved in Egypt. Aaron and his brother Moses were Israelites from the tribe of Jacob and Leah's 3rd born son Levi. When Moses was 80 years old and Aaron was 83, they led the Israelites away from Egyptian slavery, across the divinely parted Red Sea, and into the desert wilderness, according to the commands of the Lord God. During the 40th year of their journey to Canaan, the Promised Land, Aaron died and was buried upon Mount Hor, and Moses went upon Mount Nebo. The Lord God showed Moses the Promised Land, and Moses died and was divinely buried. Joshua, Moses' successor, was descended from Jacob and Rachel's firstborn son Joseph and his wife Asenath, and Joseph and Asenath's 2nd born son Ephraim, whom Jacob proclaimed to be his own son. Joshua led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham, and Isaac, and to Jacob, and their descendants. Over 275 years after Joshua died and was buried in his tribe's portion of the Promised Land, Samuel, the priest, prophet and judge from the tribe of Levi, was leading the Israelites. While battling the Israelites, the Philistines captured the ark of the covenant of the Lord. At least 7 months thereafter, the Philistines sent the ark back to the Israelites. When Samuel was quite old, the Israelite elders demanded that Samuel set a king to govern them. Samuel anointed Saul, from the tribe of Jacob and Rachel's 2nd and last son Benjamin, to reign as king, according to the command of the Lord God. Saul did not obey the commands of the Lord God. During Saul's reign, the Lord God sent Samuel to anoint David, from the tribe of Jacob and Leah's 4th born son Judah, to reign as king. Years before David actually began to reign, David experienced combative and peaceful interactions with the Philistines. David killed Goliath, a gigantic Philistine from Gath, and David went with his men and killed 200 Philistines to get their foreskins, and David and his men and their families lived in Gath and in Ziklag, the Philistine city that Achish, a Philistine king, gave to David. After Saul's self-inflicted death while on the battlefield against the Philistines, 30-year-old David began to reign only over the tribe of Judah. Saul's son Ishbosheth (Eshbaal) reigned over the other Israelite tribes. After Ishbosheth was murdered, the Israelite elders journeyed to David and David made a covenant with them. The elders anointed David, and David became the 2nd king to reign over all of the Israelites. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that David fought and defeated the Philistines many times. During David's last physical fight, David's nephew Abishai killed Ishbi-benob, the gigantic Philistine who intended to kill David. Over 900 years after 70-year-old David died, and Solomon, the 2nd son born to David and Bathsheba, became the 3rd king to reign over all of the Israelites, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born.
