...................................................................LET US LEARN TOGETHER WHAT IS GOOD. Job 34:4b(NIV)................................................................Some people see the Bible as a long and boring book filled with incidents and events from the lives of ancient people who probably never existed. The biblical stories are seen as fables. Notably, Romans 15:4 reveals: For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.(KJV) In this blog, many of the situations and conversations found in the divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible have been placed in categories that correspond to expressive sayings and phrases. Reference information, background information and links connecting the people and places are given to help you find a place to begin reading the Bible for yourself.

How Now Shall It Come About

There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles, that thou doest, except God be with him. Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?-John 3:1-4***The Pharisees were Israelites and noticeably obeyed the laws that the Lord God gave Moses for the Israelites, and obeyed the traditions passed down by the Israelite elders. The Pharisees knew that Jesus turned water into wine at a wedding celebration in Cana, Galilee. Moreover, the Pharisees knew that at the Passover Feast in Jerusalem, Judea, Jesus performed miracles. Nicodemus came to see Jesus sometime after the occurrence of those miracles. Sometime before the miracles, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by John the Baptist, an Israelite from the tribe of Levi. Jesus having prayed, the heavens tearing open, the Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus. The Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. Jesus fasted 40 days and nights and was tempted. Afterwards, Jesus was tended to by angels, and Jesus went to the area near John the Baptist, and John the Baptist proclaimed Jesus to be the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the world, and testified that Jesus is the Son of God. In Galilee, Jesus told specific Israelite men to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites, the treasured and chosen people of the Lord God. Approximately 30 years before Jesus was baptized, Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Less than 3 1/2 years after Jesus was baptized, Jesus was betrayed by Judas Iscariot the disciple and apostle, and Jesus was arrested and crucified. Nicodemus went with Joseph of Arimathea to be given the crucified body of Jesus and prepare the body for burial and placement in the new tomb that Joseph owned. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that Jesus was resurrected, seen by over 500 people, and returned to heaven.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 31:1-29, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 8:30-35, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 6:1-81, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26, 15:1-35
