...................................................................LET US LEARN TOGETHER WHAT IS GOOD. Job 34:4b(NIV)................................................................Some people see the Bible as a long and boring book filled with incidents and events from the lives of ancient people who probably never existed. The biblical stories are seen as fables. Notably, Romans 15:4 reveals: For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.(KJV) In this blog, many of the situations and conversations found in the divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible have been placed in categories that correspond to expressive sayings and phrases. Reference information, background information and links connecting the people and places are given to help you find a place to begin reading the Bible for yourself.

FYI - For Your Information

From the Epistle to the Hebrews,
in the New Testament of the Holy Bible:

For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people, Saying, This is the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you. Moreover he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle, and all the vessels of the ministry. And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission. It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us: Not yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others; For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.-Hebrews 9:19-28***Month after Moses and his older brother Aaron led their fellow Israelites away from Egyptian slavery, across the divinely parted Red Sea, and into the desert wilderness of Shur, according to the commands of the Lord God, the Israelites, and those with them, were in the desert wilderness of Sinai in the region of Mount Sinai. The Lord God gave Moses commands for consecrating the Israelites. Afterwards, at the specified time, the Lord God descended upon Mount Sinai in a fire and the Israelites heard the voice of the Lord God proclaim the Ten Commandments to them. The Israelites were frightened and only wanted Moses to address them, and the Lord God agreed with their request. Moses told the Israelites everything that the Lord God commanded him to say, and the Israelites agreed to obey the words of the Lord God. The next morning, Moses built an altar, and set up 12 pillars. Several Israelites sacrificed animals as burnt offerings and peace offerings to the Lord God, and Moses sprinkled 1/2 of the animals' blood upon the altar. After Moses read the words of the Lord God, words that Moses recorded in the Book of the Covenant, and after the Israelites agreed to obey the Lord God, Moses sprinkled the Israelites with the other 1/2 of the blood. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Epistle to the Hebrews in the Holy Bible reveal that after the tabernacle and all of the sacred items were made according to the commands that the Lord God described and showed to Moses, Moses sprinkled those items with blood. Throughout their journey, the Lord God gave Moses other judgments, statutes, and laws for the Israelites, including commands that the high priest was to follow for the yearly entry into the Most Holy Place, the Holy of Holies, in the tabernacle on the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur). During the 40th year of their journey to Canaan, the Promised Land, 123-year-old Aaron died upon Mount Hor, and Moses went upon Mount Nebo. The Lord God showed Moses the Promised Land, and 120-year-old Moses died and was divinely buried. Joshua, Moses' successor from the tribe of Ephraim, led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham (Abram the Hebrew), and to Abraham's son Isaac, and to Isaac's youngest fraternal twin son Jacob (Israel), and to their descendants. Over 1,300 years after 110-year-old Joshua died and was buried in his tribe's portion of the Promised Land, John the Baptist and Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, were born. John the Baptist was born into the tribe of Jacob's 3rd born son Levi, the birth tribe of Aaron and Moses, to Zechariah (Zacharias) the priest and his wife Elizabeth (Elisabeth). Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Elizabeth's relative Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Jacob's 4th born son Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Approximately 30 years after John the Baptist and Jesus the Christ were born, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by John the Baptist. Jesus having prayed, the heavens tearing open, the Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus. The Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. Jesus fasted 40 days and nights and was tempted. Afterwards, Jesus was tended to by angels, and Jesus went to the area near John the Baptist, and John the Baptist proclaimed Jesus to be the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the world. In Galilee, Jesus told specific Israelite men to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites. Less than 3 1/2 years after Jesus was baptized, Jesus was betrayed by Judas Iscariot, the disciple and apostle, and Jesus was arrested, crucified, buried in a tomb, resurrected, seen by over 500 people, and returned to heaven.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Leviticus 1:1-27:34, Numbers 1:1-4:49, 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 4:1-5:33, 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, Joshua 1:1-4:24, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26, Hebrews
