From a letter written by the apostle Paul

to believers in Galatia:

Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness. Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed. So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham. For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them. But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith. And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them. Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.-Galatians 3:6-14***When Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) lived in Ur in southern Mesopotamia, the Lord God appeared and told Abraham to leave his country and kin and come into the land he would be shown. Abraham journeyed from Ur with his wife Sarah (Sarai), their father Terah, and nephew Lot, and lived in Haran in northern Mesopotamia until sometime after 205-year-old Terah died in Haran. Abraham was 75 years old and Sarah was 65 when they journeyed away from Haran with Lot, their servants, and possessions and settled in Canaan. The Lord God told Abraham that he would make him a great nation, bless him and make his name great, and give Canaan to Abraham's descendants and to Abraham. The Lord God said Abraham would be a blessing and that everyone who blessed Abraham would be blessed by the Lord God and everyone who cursed Abraham would be cursed, and through Abraham everyone would be blessed. When Abraham was over 75 years old and still childless, the Lord God told Abraham that Abraham would have an immeasurable amount of descendants. Abraham believed in the Lord God and the words spoken by the Lord God and it was counted to Abraham for righteousness. When Abraham was in a deep sleep, the Lord God made a covenant with Abraham. When Abraham was 86 years old, Ishmael was born to Abraham and Hagar, Sarah's maidservant. When Abraham was 100 years old, Isaac was born to Abraham and 90-year-old Sarah. Decades thereafter, the Lord God appeared and promised to give Canaan to Isaac and Isaac's descendants. When Isaac was 40 years old, he married Rebekah, Abraham and Sarah's grandniece. When Isaac was 60 years old, fraternal twin sons Esau (Edom) and Jacob (Israel) were born to Isaac and Rebekah. Decades thereafter, the Lord God appeared in a dream and promised to give Canaan to Jacob and Jacob's descendants. Aaron and his brother Moses were Israelites from the tribe of Levi, descended from Jacob and his 1st wife Leah, and Jacob and Leah's 3rd born son Levi. When Moses was 80 years old and Aaron was 83, they led the Israelites away from Egyptian slavery, across the divinely parted Red Sea and into the desert wilderness of Shur, according to the commands of the Lord God. In the desert wilderness of Sinai, in the region of Mount Sinai, the Israelites heard the voice of the Lord God proclaim the Ten Commandments to them. The Lord God began giving Moses judgments, statutes and laws for the Israelites, and the Lord God made a covenant with the Israelites. Many Gentiles (strangers/foreigners), people not born into the Israelite tribes, left Egypt with the Israelites. Moreover, they lived among the Israelites during the 40-year journey to the Promised Land, and during the era of judges and  kings in the Promised Land. Some of the Gentiles worshiped the Lord God. Over 500 years after both of the kingdoms in the Promised Land were invaded and conquered, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of the Israelites, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Jacob and Leah's 4th born son Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Approximately 30 years after Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by Mary's relative John the Baptist. The Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus, and the Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. For 40 days Jesus fasted and was tempted. Afterwards, Jesus was tended to by angels, and Jesus went to the area near John the Baptist, and Jesus went to Galilee. Jesus told specific Israelite men to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites. Less than 3 1/2 years after Jesus was baptized, Jesus willingly gave his life as a ransom and was crucified, buried in a tomb, resurrected, and returned to heaven. The apostle Paul (Saul) was an Israelite from the tribe of Benjamin, descended from Jacob and his 2nd wife Rachel, and Jacob and Rachel's 2nd and last son Benjamin.
