From a letter written by Simon Peter
to believers dispersed throughout Asia Minor (Turkey):
Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance: But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:-1 Peter 1:13-17***Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) was wealthy. As Abraham journeyed throughout Canaan during the last 100 years of his life, Abraham acquired gold, silver, servants, livestock, and some of the tents wherein he and the people in his household lived. Ishmael was born to 86-year-old Abraham and Hagar, the maidservant of Abraham's wife Sarah (Sarai). The Lord God identified Abraham as his friend, and the Lord God gave Abraham and Sarah their new names. Isaac was born to 100-year-old Abraham and 90-year-old Sarah. Sarah lived 127 years and died in Hebron. Zimran, Jokshan, Medan, Midian, Ishbak, and Shuah were born to Abraham and Keturah, Abraham's 2nd wife. Before 175-year-old Abraham died, he gave the largest portion of his wealth to Isaac and smaller portions to the other sons. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that the Lord God caused Isaac to accumulate more wealth. When Isaac was 40 years old, he was married to Rebekah, Abraham and Sarah's grandniece. Fraternal twin sons Esau and Jacob (Israel) were born to 60-year-old Isaac and Rebekah. Throughout the 180 years of Isaac's life, Isaac lived in tents. In Padan Aram, Haran, Jacob was married to Leah and Rachel, the daughters of Rebekah's brother Laban the Syrian (Aramean). Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun, and daughter Dinah were born to Jacob and Leah. Dan and Naphtali were born to Jacob and Bilhah, Rachel's maidservant. Gad and Asher were born to Jacob and Zilpah, Leah's maidservant. Joseph was the 1st son born to Jacob and Rachel. During Jacob's 20th year in Haran, he began journeying home to Canaan with his family, servants, animals, and possessions. Near Bethlehem, Benjamin was born to Jacob and Rachel, and Rachel died. Jacob and his family lived in tents. In Succoth, Jacob built a house, and Jacob and his family began living in tents again after arriving in the region of Shechem. In Peniel, Jacob was in a divine wrestling encounter and was given his new name, and in Bethel (Luz), the Lord God appeared to Jacob and confirmed Jacob's new name. Abraham, Sarah, Isaac, and Jacob knew that they were pilgrims on this planet and their home was the city built and made by the Lord God. Joseph was 17 years old when his brothers sold him to merchants traveling to Egypt and led Jacob to believe that Joseph was killed by a wild beast, and Joseph was 30 years old when Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, proclaimed him second-in-command. Jacob was 130 years old when he moved with his family from Canaan to Egypt. Over 1,800 years after 147-year-old Jacob died in Egypt, and Jacob's family buried his body in Canaan, the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham, and Isaac, and to Jacob, and their descendants, John the Baptist and Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, were born. John the Baptist was born into the tribe of Levi to Zechariah (Zacharias) the priest and his wife Elizabeth (Elisabeth). Jesus the Christ was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Elizabeth's relative Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born in Bethlehem into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Approximately 30 years after John the Baptist and Jesus the Christ were born, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by John the Baptist. Jesus having prayed, the heavens tearing open, the Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus. The Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. Jesus fasted 40 days and nights and was tempted. Afterwards, Jesus was tended to by angels, and Jesus went to the area near John the Baptist, and John the Baptist proclaimed Jesus to be the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the world, and testified that Jesus is the Son of God. In Galilee, Jesus told specific Israelite men, including Simon Peter, to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites, the treasured and chosen people of the Lord God. Less than 3 1/2 years after Jesus was baptized, Jesus was betrayed by Judas Iscariot the disciple and apostle, and Jesus was arrested, crucified, buried in a tomb, resurrected, seen by over 500 people, and returned to heaven. Simon Peter became a leader among the believers and wrote at least 2 divinely inspired letters.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 2 Chronicles 20:7, Isaiah 41:8, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26, Hebrews 11:1-40, James 2:1-26, 1 Peter, 2 Peter
