...................................................................LET US LEARN TOGETHER WHAT IS GOOD. Job 34:4b(NIV)................................................................Some people see the Bible as a long and boring book filled with incidents and events from the lives of ancient people who probably never existed. The biblical stories are seen as fables. In this blog, many of the situations and conversations found in the divinely inspired Holy Scriptures have been placed in categories that correspond to expressive sayings and phrases. Instructions Against Destruction

Jesus the Christ, the Son of God,
and John and the other disciples:

And John answered him, saying, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and he followeth not us: and we forbad him, because he followeth not us. But Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me. For he that is not against us is on our part. For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward. And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea. And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire: Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. For every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt. Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his saltness, wherewith will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another.-Mark 9:38-50***On the 6th day, in the beginning, the Lord God created Adam, the 1st man. The Lord God formed Adam from the dust of the ground, and the Lord God made Adam's wife Eve, the mother of all living after taking a part out of Adam. Seth was born to Adam and Eve. Seth's great-great-great-grandson Enoch was the great-grandfather of Noah the ark builder. Shem was born to Noah, and Arphaxad was born to Shem. Terah was Arphaxad's great-great-great-great-great-grandson. Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai) were born to Terah. Isaac was the only child born to Abram and Sarah. Fraternal twin sons Esau (Edom) and Jacob (Israel) were the only children born to Isaac and his wife Rebekah. Levi was the 3rd son born to Jacob and his 1st wife Leah, and Judah was Jacob and Leah's 4th born son. Over 300 years after Levi, Judah and their siblings were born, Miriam and her younger brothers Aaron and Moses were born. When Moses was 80 years old and herding his father-in-law's sheep in the region of Mount Horeb, the mountain of God, he saw a fiery sight. Moses heard the Lord God call him, and Moses answered the Lord God, and listened to the Lord God, and asked the Lord God some questions about abilities. The Lord God gave Moses commands and physical proof, and the Lord God sent Moses and 83-year-old brother Aaron to speak to the Israelite elders and Pharaoh, the king of Egypt. After the Lord God brought the 10th and final plague upon Pharaoh and Egypt, Moses and Aaron led the Israelites, and those with them, away from Egyptian slavery, across the divinely parted Red Sea, and into the desert wilderness of Shur. In the desert wilderness of Sinai, in the region of Mount Sinai (Horeb), the Israelites heard the voice of the Lord God proclaim the Ten Commandments to them, and the Lord God begin giving Moses judgments, statutes and laws for the Israelites. The Lord God gave Moses commands for the offering that the Israelite were to bring, and the Lord God described to Moses and showed Moses the likeness of the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and the tabernacle, and the altar of burnt offering, and the altar of incense, and all of the sacred items that the Israelites were to make. The Lord God told Moses that only Aaron and Aaron's sons and the sons born to their descendants were to serve the Lord God as priests. Sometime after everything was made, and Moses put each item in its proper place, according to the commands of the Lord God, the Lord God gave Moses the law of the burnt offering. The Lord God told Moses that the fire shall be kept burning on the altar, the fire shall not be put out, a fire shall always be burning on the altar. After Aaron and his sons were washed, dressed, and anointed, and the offerings were made, and Aaron and his sons were consecrated, Aaron made offerings for himself and the Israelites, according to the commands of the Lord God. Aaron blessed the Israelites, and Moses and Aaron entered the tabernacle, and Moses and Aaron blessed the Israelites, and the glory of the Lord God appeared, and fire came out from the presence of the Lord God and consumed the burnt offering and the fat. During the 40-year journey to Canaan, the Promised Land, Miriam the prophetess died and was buried in Kadesh, in the desert wilderness of Zin. Upon Mount Hor, 123-year-old Aaron the priest died. When Moses went upon Mount Nebo, the Lord God showed Moses the Promised Land, and 120-year-old Moses the prophet died and was divinely buried. Joshua, Moses' successor, was from the tribe of Ephraim, descended from Jacob and his 2nd wife Rachel, their firstborn son Joseph and his wife Asenath, and Joseph and Asenath's 2nd born son Ephraim, whom Jacob proclaimed to be his own son. Joshua led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the land that the Lord God promised to give to Jacob, and to Jacob's father Isaac, and to Isaac's father Abraham (Abram the Hebrew), and to their descendants. Over 300 years after 110-year-old Joshua died and was buried in his tribe's portion of the Promised Land, Saul, from the tribe of Jacob and Rachel's 2nd and last son Benjamin, became the 1st king to rule over the Israelites. David from the tribe of Judah, was the 2nd king to rule over all of the Israelites. Solomon, the 2nd child born to David and Bathsheba, was the 3rd king to reign. Rehoboam, the son born to Solomon and Naamah, was the 4th king to rule over all of the Israelites. After Rehoboam gave a specific answer, the Israelites split into 2 kingdoms, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of Solomon. Israel was the northern nation, Samaria was the final royal city and Jeroboam, the son born to Nebat and Zeruah, was the 1st king to reign. Judah was the nation in the south, Jerusalem was the royal city and Rehoboam was the 1st king to reign. Rehboam's great-great-great-great-great-great-grandson Uzziah (Azariah) was the 9th king to rule Judah. When Uzziah reigned, and during the 16-year reign of Uzziah's son Jotham, the 10th king, and the 16-year reign of Jotham's son Ahaz, the 11th king, and the 29-year reign of Ahaz's son Hezekiah, the 12th king, Isaiah the prophet received many revelations from the Lord God, including a message about transgressors and fire that shall not be quenched, and Isaiah  proclaimed the words of the Lord God, according to the commands of the Lord God. Over 600 years after Manasseh, the son born to Hezekiah and Hephzibah, became the 13th king to rule Judah, John the Baptist and Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, were born. John the Baptist was born into the tribe of Levi to Zechariah (Zacharias) the priest and his wife Elizabeth (Elisabeth). Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Elizabeth's relative Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah, the tribe of Judah's kings, to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Approximately 30 years after John the Baptist and Jesus the Christ were born, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by John the Baptist. Jesus having prayed, the heavens tearing open, the Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus. The Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. Jesus fasted 40 days and nights and was tempted. Afterwards, Jesus was tended to by angels, and Jesus went to the area near John the Baptist and John the Baptist proclaimed Jesus to be the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the world. In Galilee, Jesus told specific Israelite men, including Zebedee's son John, to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites. Before Jesus was betrayed, arrested, crucified, buried in a tomb, resurrected, seen by over 500 people, and returned to heaven less than 3 1/2 years after he was baptized, Jesus said:

-Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.-Matthew 5:13...Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment: But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.-Matthew 5:21-22

-The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;-Matthew 13:38...As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.-Matthew 13:40-42...So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just, and shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.-Matthew 13:49-50

-But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea. Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh! Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast them from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire. And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire.-Matthew 18:6-10

-When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:-Matthew 25:31...Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:-Matthew 25:41...And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.-Matthew 25:46

-And John answered and said, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name; and we forbad him, because he followeth not with us. And Jesus said unto him, Forbid him not: for he that is not against us is for us.-Luke 9:49-50

-Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be seasoned?-Luke 14:34

Then said he unto the disciples, It is impossible but that offences will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come! It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.-Luke 17:1-2
