The sons of Reuben, and the Gadites, and half the tribe of Manasseh, of valiant men, men able to bear buckler and sword, and to shoot with bow, and skilful in war, were four and forty thousand seven hundred and threescore, that went out to the war. Jetur and  Naphish descended from Ishmael. The Reubenites, the sons of Reuben, the Israelites in the tribe of Reuben, descended from Abraham and Sarah, their son Isaac and his wife Rebekah, Isaac and Rebekah's youngest fraternal twin son Jacob (Israel) and his 1st wife Leah, and Jacob and Leah's firstborn son Reuben. The Gadites, the Israelites in the tribe of Gad, descended from Jacob and Zilpah, Leah's maidservant, and Jacob and Zilpah's firstborn son Gad. The Manassites, the Israelites in the tribe of Manasseh, descended from Jacob and his 2nd wife Rachel, their firstborn son Joseph and his wife Asenath, and Joseph and Asenath's firstborn son Manasseh. Ephraim was Joseph and Asenath's youngest son. In Egypt, Jacob proclaimed Manasseh and Ephraim to be his own sons, and the tribe of Joseph became the tribe of Manasseh and the tribe of Ephraim. Miriam and her younger brothers Aaron and Moses were from the tribe of Jacob and Leah's 3rd born son Levi. During the 40th year after 80-year-old Moses and 83-year-old led the Israelites away from Egyptian slavery, across the divinely parted Red Sea, and into the desert wilderness of Shur, according to the commands of the Lord God, 123-year-old Aaron the high priest died upon Mount Hor. Before Moses went upon Mount Nebo, and the Lord God showed Moses the Promised Land, the Reubenites and Gadites asked Moses, and Aaron's son and successor Eleazar, and the leaders with them, if they could be given some of the land that the Israelites had already conquered. After Moses spoke to the Gadites and Reubenites, and the Gadites responded, Moses gave the Reubenites, Gadites and 1/2 the tribe of Manasseh the land they requested. When Moses went upon Mount Nebo, the Lord God showed Moses the Promised Land, and 120-year-old Moses the prophet died and was divinely buried. Joshua, Moses' aide and successor from the tribe of Ephraim, led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham, and Isaac, and to Jacob, and their descendants. The Reubenites, Gadites and 1/2 the tribe of Manasseh were at the forefront of the tribes, and helped the other Israelites conquer much of the Promised Land, according to the commands of the Lord God that Moses proclaimed to them. Joshua spoke to and blessed the Reubenites, Gadites, and 1/2 the tribe of Manasseh, and they were given vast amounts of the animals and valuable goods taken from defeated enemies, and they returned to the land they had been given. Shortly thereafter, the Reubenites, Gadites, and 1/2 the tribe of Manasseh decided to build an altar, and the other Israelites wanted to attack them. However, the Israelites sent Eleazar's son Phinehas and 10 tribal leaders to question the Reubenites, Gadites and 1/2 the tribe of Manasseh. Phinehas and the tribal leaders were pleased with the answer given by the Reubenites, Gadites and 1/2 the tribe of Manasseh, and returned to the other Israelites, and all of the Israelites were pleased, and blessed the Lord God, and decided not to war against their fellow Israelites. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that sometime thereafter, the Reubenites, Gadites, and 1/2 the tribe of Manasseh became idolaters. Solomon, the 2nd child born to King David and Bathsheba, was the 3rd king to rule over all of the Israelites. During the latter portion of Solomon's 40-year reign, Solomon became an idolater. Rehoboam, the son born Solomon and Naamah, was the 4th king to rule over all of the Israelites. After Rehoboam gave a specific answer, the Israelites split into 2 kingdoms, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of the Israelites. Judah was the nation in the south, Jerusalem was the royal city and Rehoboam was the 1st king to reign. After obeying the Lord God during the beginning few years of his 17-year reign, Rehoboam and many Israelites in Judah began worshiping idols. Israel was the northern nation, Samaria was the final royal city and Jeroboam, the son born to Nebat and Zeruah, was the 1st king to reign. Jeroboam established a system of idolatry throughout the northern nation and idolatry remained throughout the land. King Pekah was the 18th king to rule over all of the Israelites in the northern nation of Israel. During Pekah's 20-year reign, the Assyrians invaded the kingdom and King Tiglath-pileser, ruler of Assyria, began taking captives, including the Reubenites, Gadites and 1/2 the tribe of Manasseh. During the 9th year of the reign of King Hoshea, the 19th king to rule the northern nation, the Assyrians conquered Samaria, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of the Israelites. Less than 125 years after Samaria was conquered, Rehoboam's great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandson Jehoiakim (Eliakim) became the 17th king to rule Judah. During Jehoiakim's 11-year reign, the Babylonians (Chaldeans) invaded Judah and Jerusalem and King Nebuchadnezzar, ruler of Babylon, began looting the temple of the Lord. Jehoiachin (Jeconiah/Coniah), the son born to Jehoiakim and Nehushta, was the 18th king to rule Judah. During Jehoiachin's 3-month reign, the Babylonians took more prominent Israelites, including Jehoiachin, his wives and mother, to Babylon. During the 11th year of the reign of Jehoiakim's brother King Zedekiah (Mattaniah), the 19th king to rule Judah, the Babylonians conquered Jerusalem, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of the Israelites. Over 500 years after Israelites began returning to Judah and Jerusalem, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Think Again

Jacob (Israel) and Joseph

And Israel beheld Joseph's sons, and said, Who are these? And Joseph said unto his father, They are my sons, whom God hath given me in this place. And he said, Bring them, I pray thee, unto me, and I will bless them. Now the eyes of Israel were dim for age, so that he could not see. And he brought them near unto him; and he kissed them, and embraced them. And Israel said unto Joseph, I had not thought to see thy face: and, lo, God hath shewed me also thy seed. And Joseph brought them out from between his knees, and he bowed himself with his face to the earth. And Joseph took them both, Ephraim in his right hand toward Israel's left hand, and Manasseh in his left hand toward Israel's right hand, and brought them near unto him. However, Reuben convinced his brothers to put Joseph in a pit, and he secretly planned to rescue Joseph and take Joseph home. Apparently while Reuben was not among them, Judah convinced his brothers that selling Joseph would be better than killing Joseph. The brothers agreed and sold Joseph to merchants traveling to Egypt and led Jacob to believe that Joseph was killed by a wild beast. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that Jacob began to mourn, and would not accept any comfort, and stated that he would go down into his grave mourning the death of Joseph. The merchants sold Joseph to Potiphar, an Egyptian official. After Potiphar's wife made a false accusation, Potiphar put Joseph in prison. At least 2 years after Joseph explained the meaning of a dream to the cupbearer who served Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, and explained the meaning of a dream to Pharoah's imprisoned baker, 30-year-old Joseph explained the meaning of a dream to Pharaoh, and Pharaoh proclaimed Joseph second-in-command. During a famine, Jacob sent his sons, except for Benjamin, to Egypt to buy corn (grain). Joseph recognized his brothers, although they did not recognize him, and Joseph accused his brothers of being spies. Joseph's brothers told Joseph that they were not spies and they told him about their father and background. Joseph explained the terms of proof to them and put his brothers in prison. On the 3rd day of his brother's imprisonment, Joseph spoke to them and described new terms. Joseph heard Reuben speaking to his brothers, and Joseph turned, wept, and bound and imprisoned Simeon, and told his brothers to carry corn home for their households and return to Egypt with Benjamin. Joseph's servants put corn and money in the sacks belonging to Joseph's brothers, according to Joseph's command, and during the journey to Canaan, money in a sack was discovered. In Canaan, Joseph's brothers told Jacob about the accusation, and the imprisonment of Simeon, and the command to bring Benjamin to Egypt. Afterwards, the money in the other sacks was discovered. Jacob refused to let his sons take Benjamin to Egypt, and Reuben offered the life of his sons in exchange for the chance to take Benjamin to Egypt and return home with Benjamin. While the famine continued, and all of the corn brought from Egypt was consumed, Jacob told his sons to go to Egypt. After Judah reminded Jacob they could not return to Egypt without Benjamin, and Judah pledged responsibility for taking Benjamin to Egypt and bringing Benjamin back, Jacob agreed to let his sons take Benjamin to Egypt. In Egypt, Joseph gave his servants specific commands about a meal, and Joseph's brothers spoke to Joseph's steward, and the steward united Simeon with his brothers, and situated them inside Joseph's house. Joseph's brothers gave him the gift they carried, and Joseph's brothers bowed down before him, fulfilling the actions Joseph told them about years earlier. Joseph questioned his brothers, and heard their answer, and saw Benjamin, and left to cry privately, and returned, and Joseph and his brothers ate the prepared meal. When Joseph's brothers were journeying to Canaan the next day, Joseph's silver cup was found in Benjamin's sack, according to Joseph's command and plan, and Joseph's brothers were brought to him. Judah spoke to Joseph, and pleaded that Joseph keep him and let his brothers return to Canaan. Joseph commanded the Egyptians to leave the room, and Joseph cried loudly, and identified himself to his brothers, and told them to move with their families, including Jacob, to Egypt. Moreover, Pharaoh expressed his generosity and hospitality. During the journey from Canaan to Egypt, the Lord God spoke to 130-year-old Jacob. Sometime after Jacob and Joseph were reunited, Jacob proclaimed Manasseh and Ephraim, the sons born to Joseph and his wife Asenath, to be his own sons. Thus, the tribe of Joseph became the tribe of Manasseh and the tribe of Ephraim. Over 1,800 years after 147-year-old Jacob died in Egypt, and Jacob's family buried his body in Canaan, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. After Jesus the Christ, the Son of God,

spoke to a multitude, including an heir,

and told a parable,

Jesus spoke to his disciples

And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on. The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment. Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls? And which of you with taking thought can add to his stature one cubit? If ye then be not able to do that thing which is least, why take ye thought for the rest?-Luke 12:22-26

Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith?-Luke 12:27-28

And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind. A message the Lord God

revealed to Amos the prophet

I have smitten you with blasting and mildew: when your gardens and your vineyards and your fig trees and your olive trees increased, the palmerworm devoured them: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD. I have sent among you the pestilence after the manner of Egypt: your young men have I slain with the sword, and have taken away your horses; and I have made the stink of your camps to come up unto your nostrils: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD. I have overthrown some of you, as God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, and ye were as a firebrand plucked out of the burning: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD. Sing Praises

Psalm 135 consists of 21 verses,

Praise ye the LORD. Praise ye the name of the LORD; praise him, O ye servants of the LORD. Ye that stand in the house of the LORD, in the courts of the house of our God, Praise the LORD; for the LORD is good: sing praises unto his name; for it is pleasant.
