And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots. And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away. And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have aught against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.-Mark 11:20-26***Simon Peter and the 11 other disciples and apostles with Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, were Israelites, descendants of Jacob (Israel). Jacob was the youngest fraternal twin son born to Isaac and Rebekah. Isaac was the only child born to Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai). Abraham and Sarah were born to Terah, and Terah was the great-great-great-great-great-grandson of Arphaxad, and Arphaxad was born to Shem, and Shem was born to Noah the ark builder. Noah was the great-grandson of Enoch, and Enoch was the great-great-great-grandson of Seth, and Seth was born to Adam and Eve. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that the Lord God created Adam, the 1st man. The Lord God formed Adam from the dust of the ground, and the Lord God made Adam's wife Eve, the mother of all living, after taking a part out of Adam. Decades after Jacob was born, he was married to Rebekah's nieces Leah and Rachel, the daughters of Rebekah's brother Laban the Syrian (Aramean). Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun, and daughter Dinah were born to Jacob and Leah. Dan and Naphtali were born to Jacob and Bilhah, Rachel's maidservant. Gad and Asher were born to Jacob and Zilpah, Leah's maidservant. Joseph and Benjamin were born to Jacob and Rachel. The 12 sons are the forefathers of the 12 tribes of Israel. Over 800 years after Reuben, Joseph and their siblings died in Egypt, Solomon was born in the Promised Land, into the tribe of Judah, to King David and Bathsheba. David was the 2nd king to reign over all of the Israelites in the Promised Land. Before 70-year-old David died, Solomon became the 3rd king to reign over all of the Israelites in the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham, and Isaac, and to Jacob, and their descendants. When Solomon was in Gibeon, a city allotted to the tribe of Benjamin and inhabited by priests and Levites, Israelites from the tribe of Levi, the Lord God appeared in a dream and told Solomon to ask the Lord God for whatever he wanted the Lord God to give him. be given. Rehoboam, the son born to Solomon and Naamah, was the 3rd king to reign over all of the Israelites. After Rehoboam gave a specific answer, the Israelites split into 2 kingdoms, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of Solomon. Israel was the northern nation, Samaria was the final royal city, and Jeroboam, the son born to Nebat and Zeruah, was the 1st king to reign. Judah was the nation in the south, Jerusalem was the royal city, and Rehoboam was the 1st king to reign. Rehoboam's great-grandson Jehoshaphat was the 4th king to rule Judah. During Jehoshaphat's 25-year reign, the Moabites, Ammonites and their allies came to attack. Jehoshaphat was fearful, and positioned himself to seek the Lord God, and proclaimed a fast throughout the kingdom. The Israelites in Judah united to ask for help from the Lord God, and Jehoshaphat prayed to the Lord God. Jehoshaphat's great-great-great-great-great-grandson Ahaz was the 11th king to rule Judah. During Ahaz's 16-year reign, King Rezin, ruler of Syria (Aram), and King Pekah, ruler of the northern nation of Israel, came to attack, according to the will of the Lord God. The Lord God sent Isaiah the prophet to Ahaz with a message, and Ahaz was told that he could ask for a sign from the Lord God. Hezekiah, the son born to Ahaz and Abi (Abijah), was the 12th king to rule Judah. When Hezekiah was deathly ill, the Lord God sent Isaiah with a message for Hezekiah. Hezekiah prayed to the Lord God and Hezekiah cried. The Lord God gave Isaiah another message for Hezekiah and Hezekiah asked Isaiah about a sign from the Lord God. Over 600 years after Manasseh, the son born to Hezekiah and Hephzibah, became the 13th king to rule Judah and was responsible for innocent blood being shed that the Lord God would not forgive, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Approximately 30 years after Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by Mary's relative John the Baptist, from the tribe of Levi. Jesus having prayed, the heavens tearing open, the Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus. The Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. Jesus fasted 40 days and nights and was tempted. Afterwards, Jesus was tended to by angels, and Jesus went to the area near John the Baptist and John the Baptist proclaimed Jesus to be the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the world. In Galilee, Jesus told specific Israelite men, including Simon Peter, to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites, the treasured and chosen people of the Lord God. Jesus said:
-And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.-Matthew 6:5-6...For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:-Matthew 6:14
-Ask and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.-Matthew 7:7-8
Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.-Matthew 18:19-20
Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.-Matthew 21:21-22
