The Altar of Burnt Offering

And thou shalt make an altar of shittim wood, five cubits long, and five cubits broad; the altar shall be foursquare: and the height thereof shall be three cubits. And thou shalt make the horns of it upon the four corners thereof: his horns shall be of the same: and thou shalt overlay it with brass. And thou shalt make his pans to receive his ashes, and his shovels, and his basons, and his fleshhooks, and his firepans: all the vessels thereof thou shalt make of brass. And thou shalt make for it a grate of network of brass; and upon the net shalt thou make four brasen rings in the four corners thereof. And thou shalt put it under the compass of the altar beneath, that the net may be even to the midst of the altar. And thou shalt make staves for the altar, staves of shittim wood, and overlay them with brass. And the staves shall be put into the rings, and the staves shall be upon the two sides of the altar, to bear it. Hollow with boards shalt thou make it: as it was shewed thee in the mount, so shall they make it.-Exodus 27:1-8***When the Lord God commanded Noah the ark builder to build an ark, the divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible do not describe Noah being shown a pattern of the ark. Moses was an Israelite from the tribe of Levi, descended from Noah's son Shem, Shem's son Arphaxad, Arphaxad's great-great-great-great-great-grandson Terah, Terah's children Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai), their son Isaac and his wife Rebekah, Isaac and Rebekah's youngest fraternal twin son Jacob (Israel) and his 1st wife Leah, and Jacob and Leah's 3rd born son Levi. When Moses was upon Mount Sinai 40 days and nights with the Lord God, the Lord God described to Moses and showed Moses the likeness for the tabernacle and sacred items that the Israelites were to make, including the ark of the covenant of the Lord, the mercy seat, the table for the showbread (shewbread), the Lampstand, and the altar of burnt offering. Bezaleel was from the tribe of Jacob and Leah's 4th born son Judah and was filled with the Spirit of God in wisdom, understanding and knowledge for the work. Aholiab was from the tribe of Dan, descended from Jacob and maidservant Bilhah, and their firstborn son Dan. Aholiab was appointed by the Lord God to help Bezaleel, and the Lord God gave several other wisehearted Israelites wisdom. Over 400 years after the sacred items were made, David was born into the tribe of Judah. Over a decade after David was born, the Lord God sent Samuel, the priest, prophet and judge from the tribe of Levi, to anoint David to reign as king. When David was 30 years old, he began to reign only over the tribe of Judah in the Promised Land. When David was 37 1/2 years old, he became the 2nd king to rule over all of the Israelites in the Promised Land, the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham, and Isaac, and to Jacob, and their descendants. After Davids' nephew Joab led the Israelites to victory over the Jebusites inhabiting a fortress, Joab became commander of the army, and the fortress became the City of David. David brought the ark of the covenant of the Lord to the City of David and wanted to build a house for the Name of the Lord. The Lord God gave Nathan the prophet a message for David, revealing that David's son and successor Solomon would be the builder. Before 70-year-old David died, David explained and described to Solomon, a son born to David and Bathsheba, the precise measurements for the temple that was to be built, according to the pattern that David received by the Spirit of God and the hand of God upon him. Over 900 years after Rehoboam, the son born to Solomon and Naamah, became the 4th king to rule over all of the Israelites, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. And the fourth part of an hin of wine for a drink offering shalt thou prepare with the burnt offering or sacrifice, for one lamb. Or for a ram, thou shalt prepare for a meat offering two tenth deals of flour mingled with the third part of an hin of oil. And for a drink offering thou shalt offer the third part of an hin of wine, for a sweet savour unto the LORD. And when thou preparest a bullock for a burnt offering, or for a sacrifice in performing a vow, or peace offerings unto the LORD: Then shall he bring with a bullock a meat offering of three tenth deals of flour, mingled with half an hin of oil. And thou shalt bring for a drink offering half an hin of wine, for an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD. Thus shall it be done for one bullock, or for one ram, or for a lamb, or a kid. According to the number that ye shall prepare, so shall ye do to every one according to their number. All that are born of the country shall do these things after this manner, in offering an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD. And if a stranger sojourn with you, or whosoever be among you in your generations, and will offer an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD; as ye do, so he shall do. One ordinance shall be both for you of the congregation, and also for the stranger that sojourneth with you, an ordinance for ever in your generations: as ye are, so shall the stranger be before the LORD. One law and one manner shall be for you, and for the stranger that sojourneth with you.-Numbers 15:1-16

Walk This Way

From a letter written by the apostle Paul

to believers in Ephesus and everywhere:

I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.-Ephesians 4:1-6***When Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) was living in southern Mesopotamia, in Ur, the Lord God told Abraham to get out from his country, kin and father's house and come into the land he would be shown. Abraham journeyed to Haran, in northern Mesopotamia, with his wife Sarah (Sarai), their father Terah, and nephew Lot. Sometime after 205-year-old Terah died in Haran, Abraham journeyed with Sarah, Lot, their servants and possessions to Canaan, land inhabited by idolaters, including the Canaanites, Amorites, Hittites, and Jebusites. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that Terah worshiped many gods. Abraham only worshiped the Lord God, the Creator of the heavens and the earth. The Lord God told childless Abraham that he would make a great nation of Abraham, and bless Abraham, and make Abraham's name great, and Abraham would be a blessing, and have an innumerable  amount of descendants, and Abraham would have a son. The Lord God told Abraham that he would give Canaan to Abraham's descendants and Abraham, and Abraham would be the father of many nations. When Abraham was in a deep sleep, the Lord God told Abraham that Abraham's descendants would undergo 400 years of affliction in a foreign land, and the Lord God said he would judge the foreign land, and Abraham's descendants would depart from the land with great possessions and live in Canaan. Ishmael was born to 86-year-old Abraham and Hagar, Sarah's Egyptian maidservant. Isaac was born to 100-year-old Abraham and 90-year-old Sarah. When Isaac was 40 years old, he was married to Rebekah, Abraham and Sarah's grandniece.  Fraternal twin sons Edom (Esau) and Jacob (Israel) were born to 60-year-old Isaac and Rebekah. In Padan Aram, Haran, Jacob was married to Leah and Rachel, the daughters of Rebekah's brother Laban the Syrian (Aramean). Levi was the 3rd son born to Jacob and Leah, and Judah was Jacob and Leah's 4th born son. Near Bethlehem, Benjamin was born to Jacob and Rachel, and Rachel died. When Joseph was 30 years old, Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, proclaimed him second-in-command. Jacob was 130 years old when he moved with his family from Canaan to Egypt. In Egypt, Jacob proclaimed Manasseh and Ephraim, the sons born to Joseph and his wife Asenath, to be his own sons, and the tribe of Joseph became the tribe of Manasseh and the tribe of Ephraim. Sometime after 147-year-old Jacob died in Egypt and Jacob's family buried his body in Canaan, and 110-year-old Joseph and his siblings were dead, their descendants the Israelites were enslaved in Egypt. Miriam and her younger brothers Aaron and Moses were born into the tribe of Levi. When Moses was 80 years old, he saw a fiery sight, and the Lord God spoke to Moses, and Moses had a conversation with the Lord God, and the Lord God sent Moses and 83-year-old Aaron to speak to the Israelite elders and Pharaoh. After the Lord God brought the 10th and final plague upon Pharaoh and Egypt, Pharaoh told Moses and Aaron to get the Israelites and their animals and go serve the Lord God. Moreover, Pharaoh told Moses and Aaron to bless him. Before Moses and Aaron led the Israelites, and those with them, away from Egypt, across the divinely parted Red Sea, and into the desert wilderness of Shur, the Israelites requested and were given a vast amount of valuable goods. In the desert wilderness of Sinai, in the region of Mount Sinai, the Israelites heard the voice of the Lord God proclaim the Ten Commandments to them, and the Lord God began giving Moses  judgments, statutes, and laws for the Israelites. The Lord God spoke to Moses about the commandments, judgments, statutes, and their relevance to the people among them who were not Israelites. During the 40-year journey to Canaan, the Promised Land, Miriam the prophetess died and was buried in Kadesh, in the desert wilderness of Zin. Upon Mount Hor, 123-year-old Aaron the high priest died. When Moses went upon Mount Nebo, the Lord God showed Moses the Promised Land, and 120-year-old Moses the prophet died and was divinely buried. Over 1,400 years after Joshua, Moses' aide and  successor from the tribe of Ephraim, led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham, and Isaac, and to Jacob, and their descendants. Over 1,300 years after 110-year-old Joshua died and was buried in his tribe's portion of the Promised Land, John the Baptist and Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, were born. John the Baptist was born into the tribe of Levi to Zechariah (Zacharias) the priest and his wife Elizabeth (Elisabeth). Jesus the Christ was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Elizabeth's relative Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born in Bethlehem into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Approximately 30 years after John the Baptist and Jesus the Christ were born, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by John the Baptist. Jesus having prayed, the heavens tearing open, the Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus. The Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. Jesus fasted 40 days and nights and was tempted. Afterwards, Jesus was tended to by angels, and Jesus went to the area near John the Baptist, and John the Baptist proclaimed Jesus to be the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the world, and testified that Jesus is the Son of God. In Galilee, Jesus told specific Israelite men to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites. Jesus revealed that his Father, the Lord God in heaven, loved the world and gave Jesus for the people in the world to believe in him and have eternal life. Less than 3 1/2 years after Jesus was baptized, Jesus was betrayed by Judas Iscariot the disciple and apostle, and Jesus was arrested, crucified, buried in a tomb, resurrected, and returned to heaven.  Paul (Saul) was from the tribe of Benjamin, and was a Pharisee, and did not believe Jesus to be the Christ. Throughout Jerusalem, Paul persecuted and imprisoned Israelites who believed Jesus to be the Christ of God. When Paul was journeying to the synagogues in Damascus, Syria, to find, bind, and take to Jerusalem any Israelite believers he found, Paul and those with him saw a light from heaven flash around them. Paul heard the voice of Jesus speaking to him, and Paul spoke to Jesus, and obeyed Jesus. In Damascus Paul was baptized. Jacob, Laban, Leah, and Rachel

And Laban had two daughters: the name of the elder was Leah, and the name of the younger was Rachel. Leah was tender eyed; but Rachel was beautiful and well favoured. And Jacob loved Rachel; and said, I will serve thee seven years for Rachel thy younger daughter. And Laban said, It is better that I give her to thee, than that I should give her to another man: abide with me. And Jacob served seven years for Rachel; and they seemed unto him but a few days, for the love he had to her. And Jacob said unto Laban, Give me my wife, for my days are fulfilled, that I may go in unto her. And Laban gathered together all the men of the place, and made a feast. And it came to pass in the evening, that he took Leah his daughter, and brought her to him; and he went in unto her. And Laban gave unto his daughter Leah Zilpah his maid for an handmaid. And it came to pass, that in the morning, behold, it was Leah: and he said to Laban, What is this thou hast done unto me? did not I serve with thee for Rachel? wherefore then hast thou beguiled me? When Isaac was elderly and his eyesight was diminished, he sent Esau on a mission to hunt a specific animal and cook the meal he was craving, and told Esau that he would bless him. Rebekah heard the conversation and prompted Jacob to deceive Isaac, and cheat Esau and receive the blessing. After Rebekah learned that Esau planned to kill Jacob, she spoke words to Isaac that led him to send Jacob from their home in Canaan to Rebekah's family in Padan Aram, Haran. In Bethel, Jacob was dreaming and saw the angels of God and the Lord God speaking to him. During Jacob's 7th year in Haran,  he was married to Leah and Rachel, the daughters of Rebekah's brother Laban the Syrian (Aramean). Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun and daughter Dinah were born to Jacob and Leah. Dan and Naphtali were born to Jacob and Bilhah, Leah's maidservant. Gad and Asher were born to Jacob and Zilpah, Leah's maidservant. Joseph was the 1st son born to Jacob and Rachel. During Jacob's 20th year in Haran, he began journeying home to Canaan with his family, servants, animals, and possessions. Along the journey, Jacob was reunited with Esau. Approximately 1,900 years after Benjamin was born near Bethlehem to Jacob and Rachel, and Rachel died, and Jacob and Isaac were reunited, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. A Prayer Prayed

And Hannah prayed, and said, My heart rejoiceth in the LORD, mine horn is exalted in the LORD: my mouth is enlarged over mine enemies; because I rejoice in thy salvation. There is none holy as the LORD: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God. Talk no more so exceeding proudly; let not arrogancy come out of your mouth: for the LORD is a God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed. The bows of the mighty men are broken, and they that stumbled are girded with strength. They that were full have hired out themselves for bread; and they that were hungry ceased: so that the barren hath born seven; and she that hath many children is waxed feeble. The LORD killeth, and maketh alive: he bringeth down to the grave, and bringeth up. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that Adam was the 1st man. The Lord God created Adam. The Lord God formed Adam from the dust of the ground, and the Lord God made Adam's wife Eve, the mother of all living, after taking a part out of Adam. Elkanah and Hannah did not have any children together. However, Elkanah and Peninnah, Elkanah's other wife, were the parents of several sons and daughters. Peninnah teased Hannah regarding Hannah's childless state and Hannah was sorrowful. When Hannah was in Shiloh on the grounds whereupon the tabernacle of the Lord was located in the Promised Land, Eli the priest saw Hannah making a vow to the Lord God. Eli mistakenly thought Hannah was a drunken woman. After Hannah explained her actions, Eli sent Hannah away in peace and spoke prophetically to her. After Hannah gave birth to Samuel, and Samuel was weaned, Hannah and Samuel went with their family to the tabernacle in Shiloh. Sacrifices were offered, and Hannah spoke to Eli, and presented Samuel to Eli, and Hannah fulfilled her vow to the Lord God and left Samuel at the tabernacle. Over 1,000 years after several more children were born to Elkanah and Hannah, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Jacob and Leah's 4th born son Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. During the 12th year after Jesus was born, Jesus was in Jerusalem, Judea, with Joseph and Mary for the yearly Passover commemoration. On the 3rd day of the return journey to their home in Nazareth, Galilee, Joseph and Mary realized Jesus was not with their group. Unto thee, O God, do we give thanks, unto thee do we give thanks: for that thy name is near thy wondrous works declare. When I shall receive the congregation I will judge uprightly. The earth and all the inhabitants thereof are dissolved: I bear up the pillars of it. Selah. I said unto the fools, Deal not foolishly: and to the wicked, Lift not up the horn: Lift not up your horn on high: speak not with a stiff neck. For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another. To the Ground

When Jesus had spoken these words, he went forth with his disciples over the brook Cedron, where was a garden, into the which he entered, and his disciples. And Judas also, which betrayed him, knew the place: for Jesus ofttimes resorted thither with his disciples. Judas then, having received a band of men and officers from the chief priests and Pharisees, cometh thither with lanterns and torches and weapons. Jesus therefore, knowing all things that should come upon him, went forth, and said unto them, Whom seek ye? They answered him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus saith unto them, I am he. And Judas also, which betrayed him, stood with them. As soon then as he had said unto them, I am he, they went backward, and fell to the ground. Then asked he them again, Whom seek ye? And they said, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus answered, I have told you that I am he: if therefore ye seek me, let these go their way: That the saying might be fulfilled, which he spake, Of them which thou gavest me, have I lost none. Then Simon Peter having a sword drew it, and smote the high priest's servant, and cut off his right ear. The servant's name was Malchus. Then said Jesus unto Peter, Put up thy sword into the sheath: the cup which my Father hath given me, shall I not drink it?-John 18:1-11***David was an Israelite from the tribe of Judah, descended from Adam and his wife Eve, their son Seth, Seth's great-great-great-grandson Enoch, Enoch's great-grandson Noah the ark builder, Noah's son Shem, Shem's son Arphaxad, Arphaxad's great-great-great-great-great-grandson Terah, Terah's children Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai), their son Isaac and his wife Rebekah, Isaac and Rebekah's youngest fraternal twin son Jacob (Israel) and his 1st wife Leah, and Jacob and Leah's 4th born son Judah. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that Adam was the 1st man. The Lord God created Adam. The Lord God formed Adam from the dust of the ground, and the Lord God made Adam's wife Eve, the mother of all living, after taking a part out of Adam. Over a decade after David was born, Samuel the priest, prophet and judge  from the tribe of Jacob and Leah's 3rd born son Levi, anointed David to reign as king, according to the command of the Lord God. When David was 30 years old, he began to reign only over the tribe of Judah in the Promised Land. When David was 37 1/2 years old, he became the 2nd king to rulr over all of the Israelites in the Promised Land, the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham, and Isaac, and to Jacob, and their descendants. Absalom was born to David and Maacah, a Syrian (Aramean) princess. While David reigned, Absalom had himself proclaimed king. David and those with David hurriedly left Jerusalem, the royal city, and crossed the Kidron (Cedron) Valley. Shimei was an Israelite from the tribe of Benjamin, descended from Jacob and his 2nd wife Rachel, and Jacob and Rachel's 2nd and last son Benjamin. When Shimei saw David and the people with him, he began cursing and throwing stones at them. Sometime thereafter, Absalom was killed, despite David's command, and David returned to Jerusalem. Solomon, a son born to David and Bathsheba, was the 3rd king to rule over all of the Israelites. Solomon gave Shimei a command involving the Kidron Brook. Solomon's great-grandson Asa was the 3rd king to rule Judah, the southern nation in the Promised Land. Asa cut down and crushed the idol that belonged to Maacah (Maachah), his mother or grandmother, and burned it at the Kidron Brook. Asa's great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandson Hezekiah was the 12th king to rule Judah. The Kidron Brook and fields were associated with Hezekiah and with Hezekiah's great-grandson Josiah, the 15th king to rule Judah. Moreover, Kidron was associated with the priests, and Hilkiah the high priest, and the Levite doorkeepers who served during Josiah's 31-year reign.  Over 500 years after Zedekiah (Mattaniah), the son born to Josiah and Hamutal, became the 19th and last king to rule Judah, John the Baptist and Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, were born. John the Baptist was born into the tribe of Levi to Zechariah (Zacharias) the priest and his wife Elizabeth (Elisabeth). Jesus the Christ was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Elizabeth's relative  Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah, the tribe of Judah's kings, to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Approximately 30 years after John the Baptist and Jesus the Christ were born, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by John the Baptist. Jesus having prayed, the heavens tearing open, the Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus. The Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. Jesus fasted 40 days and nights and was tempted. Afterwards, Jesus was tended to by angels, and Jesus went to the area near John the Baptist, and John the Baptist proclaimed Jesus to be the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the world, and testified that Jesus is the Son of God. In Galilee,  Jesus told specific Israelite men, including Simon Peter, to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites, the treasured and chosen people of the Lord God. Judas Iscariot was an Israelite and a disciple and an apostle of Jesus the Christ. Simon Peter, Judas Iscariot and the other disciples and apostles saw Jesus perform miracles, and were sent on a mission and given power and authority by Jesus to perform miracles. Less than 3 1/2 years after Jesus was baptized, Judas Iscariot sought payment from the chief priests and their cohorts to betray Jesus. Judas Iscariot received 30 pieces of silver and brought an armed force to Gethsemane, on the Mount of Olives, in the region of the Kidron (Cedron), and Jesus was arrested. Afterwards Jesus was questioned, hit, spat upon, blindfolded, mocked, interrogated, flogged, undressed, mockingly dressed, redressed, crucified, buried in a tomb, resurrected, seen by over 500 people, and returned to heaven.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Numbers 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-2:23, 1 Samuel 1:1-3:21, 8:1-31:13, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings, 2 Kings, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 10:1-29:30, 2 Chronicles, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26
