...................................................................LET US LEARN TOGETHER WHAT IS GOOD. Job 34:4b(NIV)................................................................Some people see the Bible as a long and boring book filled with incidents and events from the lives of ancient people who probably never existed. The biblical stories are seen as fables. Romans 15:4 (KJV) reveals: For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope. In this blog, many of the situations and conversations found in the divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible have been placed in categories that correspond to expressive sayings and phrases. Reference information, background information and links connecting the people and places are given to help you find a place to begin reading the Bible for yourself.

Jesus the Christ, the Son of God,
and Annas

Then the band and the captain and officers of the Jews took Jesus, and bound him, And led him away to Annas first; for he was father in law to Caiaphas, which was the high priest that same year. Now Caiaphas was he, which gave counsel to the Jews, that it was expedient that one man should die for the people
.
-John 18:12-14
***When Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was with his 12 disciples and apostles at the Last Supper, and Jesus had washed each man's feet, Judas Iscariot left to betray Jesus. Simon Peter, Andrew, James, John, Philip, Bartholomew, Thomas, Matthew, James (Alphaeus' son), Lebbaeus (Judas?) Thaddaeus, and Simon the Cananaean went with Jesus to Gethsemane, at the Mount of Olives. Simon Peter, James and John went a farther distance with Jesus, and Jesus went a farther distance, 3 times, without them. Jesus returned to the disciples, and Judas Iscariot approached with an armed group sent from the chief priests, scribes, elders, and temple officials. Jesus was arrested. After Simon Peter cut off the ear of Malchus, the servant of the high priest, Jesus performed a healing miracle, the 11 disciples ran away, and the arresters took Jesus to Annas, the previous high priest. Afterwards, Jesus was taken to Caiaphas, and Pontius Pilate, the governor of Judea for the Roman Empire. Pontius Pilate sent Jesus to Herod Antipas the tetrarch, ruler of Galilee for the Roman Empire. Jesus was ridiculed and regally dressed, and Herod Antipas returned Jesus to Pontius Pilate. Jesus was flogged, sent away with soldiers, undressed, mockingly dressed, mocked, beaten, spat upon, redressed, and
crucified at Golgatha. Pontius Pilate allowed Joseph of Arimathea, a secret disciple of Jesus the Christ, to take the crucified body of Jesus. Joseph and Nicodemus wrapped and prepared the body of Jesus for burial, and placed the body of Jesus in the new, unused tomb Joseph owned, and Jesus was resurrected on the 3rd day. Before Jesus returned to heaven 40 days after his resurrection, Jesus appeared and spoke to Mary Magdalene, and Simon Peter and the other disciples, and Cleopas and the person walking with Cleopas, and Jesus appeared to over 500 believers.

Annas and Caiaphas being the high priests, the word of God came unto John the son of Zacharias in the wilderness.-Luke 3:2

And one of them, named Caiaphas, being the high priest that same year, said unto them, Ye know nothing at all, Nor consider that it is expedient for us, that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation perish not. And this spake he not of himself: but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation; And not for that nation only, but that also he should gather together in one the children of God that were scattered abroad.-John 11:49-52

He Wrote, and He Similarly Wrote

From the Book of Zechariah in the Holy Bible:

Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.-Zechariah 9:9

From the Gospel of Matthew in the Holy Bible:

And when they drew nigh unto Jerusalem, and were come to Bethpage, unto the mount of Olives, then sent Jesus two disciples, Saying unto them, Go into the village over against you, and straightway ye shall find an ass tied, and a colt with her: loose them, and bring them unto me. And if any man say ought unto you, ye shall say, The Lord hath need of them; and straightway he will send them. All this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, Tell ye the daughter of Sion, Behold, thy King cometh unto thee, meek, and sitting upon an ass, and a colt the foal of an ass. And the disciples went, and did as Jesus commanded them, And brought the ass, and the colt, and put on them their clothes, and they set him thereon. And a very great multitude spread their garments in the way; others cut down branches from the trees, and strawed them in the way. And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the Son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest. And when he was come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, Who is this? And the multitude said, This is Jesus the prophet of Nazareth of Galilee.-Matthew 21:1-11

And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him. And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost,  that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord's Christ. And he came by the Spirit into the temple: and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him after the custom of the law, Then took he him up in his arms, and blessed God, and said, Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word: For mine eyes have seen thy salvation, Which thou hast prepared before the face of all people; A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel.-Luke 2:25-32

Always and Forever

A message the Lord God
revealed to Micah the prophet:

But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it. And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. And he shall judge among many people, and rebuke strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more. But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them afraid: for the mouth of the LORD of hosts hath spoke it. For all people will walk  every one in the name of his god, and we will walk in the name of the LORD our God for ever and ever. In that day, saith the LORD, will I assemble her that halteth and I will gather her that is driven out, and her that I have afflicted; And I will make her that halted a remnant, and her that was cast far off a strong nation: and the LORD shall reign over them in mount Zion from henceforth, even for ever
.-Micah 4:1-7***Micah and Isaiah were Israelites and prophets of the Lord God. King Uzziah (Azariah) was the 9th king to rule Judah, the southern nation in the Promised Land,
the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham (Abram the Hebrew), and to Abraham's son Isaac, and to Isaac's youngest fraternal twin son Jacob (Israel), and to their descendants. Jotham, the son born to Uzziah and Jerushah (Jerusha), was the 10th king to rule Judah. Jotham's son Ahaz was the 11th king. Hezekiah, the son born to Ahaz and Abi (Abijah), was the 12th king. During the latter portion of Uzziah's 52-year reign, and when Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah reigned, Isaiah received visions and messages from the Lord God. Moreover, when Jotham, Ahaz and Hezekiah reigned, Micah received visions and messages from the Lord God. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that Micah and Isaiah declared to the Israelites the words of the Lord God about the last days, nations, judgment, idols, peacefulness, fulfillment of the word of the Lord, Zion, daughter of Zion, Mount Zion and the reign of the Lord. Over 700 years after Hoshea became the 19th and last king to rule over all of the Israelites in the northern nation of Israel, and Manasseh, the son born to Hezekiah and Hephzibah, became the 13th king to rule Judah, John the Baptist and Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, were born. John the Baptist was born into the tribe of Jacob's 3rd born son Levi to Zechariah (Zacharias) the priest and his wife Elizabeth (Elisabeth). Jesus the Christ was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Elizabeth's relative Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Jacob's 4th born son Judah, the tribe of Judah's kings, to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Approximately 30 years after John the Baptist and Jesus the Christ were born, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by John the Baptist. Jesus having prayed, the heavens tearing open, the Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus. The Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. Jesus fasted 40 days and nights and was tempted. Afterwards, Jesus was tended to by angels, and Jesus went to the area near John the Baptist, and John the Baptist proclaimed Jesus to be the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the world, and testified that Jesus is the Son of God. In Galilee, Jesus told specific Israelite men to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites, the treasured and chosen people of the Lord God. Jesus spoke about the end of the age, and the activities of nations, and judgment, and false Christs and prophets, and peace, and the word of God, and Jesus fulfilled the words spoken by Zechariah the prophet regarding the rejoicing of the daughter of Zion.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Numbers 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-2:23, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings, 2 Kings, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 10:1-29:30, 2 Chronicles, Isaiah, Micah, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26

FYI - For Your Information

And they were in the way going up to Jerusalem; and Jesus went before them: and they were amazed; and as they followed, they were afraid. And he took again the twelve, and began to tell them what things should happen unto him, Saying, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be delivered unto the chief priests, and unto the scribes; and they shall condemn him to death, and shall deliver him to the Gentiles: And they shall mock him, and shall scourge him, and shall spit upon him, and shall kill him: and the third day he shall rise again.-Mark 10:32-34***Before Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, entered Jerusalem and was put in front of Annas, and Annas' son-in-law Caiaphas the high priest, and Pontius Pilate the governor, and Herod Antipas the tetrarch, ruler of Galilee for the Roman Empire, Jesus and his 12 disciples and apostles were at Jericho and the Mount of Olives. The disciples, Annas and Caiaphas were Israelites, descendants of Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai), Isaac and Rebekah, and Isaac and Rebekah's youngest fraternal twin son Jacob (Israel). Less than 33 1/2 years before Jesus was in front of Annas and the other leaders, Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Jacob's 4th born son Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin.  Approximately 30 years after Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by John the Baptist. There Was a Whole Lot of Killing Going On

After Joshua and his fellow Israelites were
victorious at Jericho, Ai, and Makkedah, and
against enemy kings, the Israelites defeated
more enemies in Canaan, the Promised Land:

And it came to pass, when Jabin king of Hazor had heard those things, that he sent to Jobab king of Madon, and to the king of Shimron, and to the king of Achshaph, And to the kings that were on the north of the mountains, and of the plains south of Chinneroth, and in the valley, and in the borders of Dor on the west,  And to the Canaanite on the east and on the west, and to the Amorite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Jebusite in the mountains, and to the Hivite under Hermon in the land of Mizpeh. And they went out, they and all their hosts with them, much people, even as the sand that is upon the sea shore in multitude, with horses and chariots very many. And when all these kings were met together, they came and pitched together at the waters of Merom, to fight against Israel.
-Joshua 11:1-5

And the LORD said unto Joshua, Be not afraid because of them: for to morrow about this time will I deliver them up all slain before Israel: thou shalt hough their horses, and burn their chariots with fire. So Joshua came, and all the people of war with him, against them by the waters of Merom suddenly; and they fell upon them. And the LORD delivered them into the hand of Israel, who smote them, and chased them unto great Zidon, and unto Misrephoth-maim, and unto the valley of Mizpeh eastward; and they smote them, until they left them none remaining. And Joshua did unto them as the LORD bade him: he houghed their horses, and burnt their chariots with fire. And Joshua at that time turned back, and took Hazor, and smote the king thereof with the sword: for Hazor beforetime was the head of all those kingdoms. And they smote all the souls that were therein with the edge of the sword, utterly destroying them: there was not any left to breathe: and he burnt Hazor with fire. And all the cities of those kings, and all the kings of them, did Joshua take, and smote them with the edge of the sword, and he utterly destroyed them, as Moses the servant of the LORD commanded. But as for the cities that stood still in their strength, Israel burned none of them, save Hazor only; that did Joshua burn. And all the spoil of these cities, and the cattle, the children of Israel took for a prey unto themselves; but every man they smote with the edge of the sword, until they had destroyed them, neither left they any to breathe. As the LORD commanded Moses his servant, so did Moses commanded Joshua, and so did Joshua; he left nothing undone of all that the LORD commanded Moses.-Joshua 11:6-15

So Joshua took all that land, the hills, and all the south country, and all the land of Goshen, and the valley, and the plain, and the mountain of Israel, and the valley of the same; Even from the mount Halak, that goeth up to Seir, even unto Baal-gad in the valley of Lebanon under mount Hermon: and all their kings he took, and smote them, and slew them. Joshua made war a long time with all those kings. There was not a city that made peace with the children of Israel, save the Hivites the inhabitants of Gibeon: all other they took in battle. For it was of the LORD to harden their hearts, that they should come against Israel in battle, that he might destroy them utterly, and that they might have no favour, but that he might destroy them, as the LORD commanded Moses.-Joshua 11:16-20

And at that time came Joshua, and cut off the Anakims from the mountains, from Hebron, from Debir, from Anab, and from all the mountains of Judah, and from all the mountains of Israel: Joshua destroyed them utterly with their cities. There was none of the Anakims left in the land of the children of Israel: only in Gaza, in Gath, and in Ashdod, there remained. So Joshua took the whole land, according to all that the LORD said unto Moses; and Joshua gave it for an inheritance unto Israel according to their divisions by their tribes. And the land rested from war.-Joshua 11:21-23/the complete chapter

Reference Scriptures:
Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.-Exodus 23:20...For mine Angel shall go before thee, and bring thee in unto the Amorites, and the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Canaanites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites: and I will cut them off. Thou shalt not bow down to their gods, nor serve them, nor do after their works: but thou shalt utterly overthrow them, and quite break down their images.-Exodus 23:23-24

And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.-Numbers 13:33

When the LORD thy God shall bring thee into the land whither thou goest to possess it, and hath cast out many nations before thee, the Hittites, and the Girgashites, and the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than thou; And when the LORD thy God shall deliver them before thee; thou shalt smite them, and utterly destroy them; thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor shew mercy unto them.-Deuteronomy 7:1-2

Hear, O Israel: Thou art to pass over Jordan this day, to go in to possess nations greater and mightier than thyself, cities great and fenced up to heaven, A people great and tall, the children of the Anakims, whom thou knowest, and of whom thou hast heard say, Who can stand before the children of Anak!-Deuteronomy 9:1-2

When thou goest out to battle against thine enemies, and seest horses, and chariots, and a people more than thou, be not afraid of them: for the LORD thy God is with thee, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.-Deuteronomy 20:1...But of the cities of these people, which the LORD thy God doth give thee for an inheritance, thou shalt save alive nothing that breatheth: But thou shalt utterly destroy them; namely, the Hittites, and the Amorites, the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites; as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee:-Deuteronomy 20:16-17

And when the inhabitants of Gibeon heard what Joshua had done unto Jericho and to Ai, They did work wilily, and went and made as if they had been ambassadors, and took old sacks upon their asses, and wine bottles, old, and rent, and bound up;-Joshua 9:3-4...And they went to Joshua unto the camp at Gilgal, and said unto him, and to the men of Israel, We be come from a far country: now therefore make ye a league with us. And the men of Israel said unto the Hivites, Peradventure ye dwell among us; and how shall we make a league with you?-Joshua 9:6-7

And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli,-Luke 3:23...Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God.-Luke 3:38

All Fail Together

A message the Lord God
revealed to Isaiah the prophet:

Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the LORD!
Yet he also is wise, and will bring evil, and will not call back his words: but will arise against the house of the evildoers, and against the help of them that work iniquity
.
Now the Egyptians are men, and not God; and their horses flesh, and not spirit. When the LORD shall stretch out his hand, both he that helpeth shall fall, and he that is holpen shall fall down, and they shall fail together. For thus hath the LORD spoken unto me, Like as the lion and the young lion roaring on his prey, when a multitude of shepherds is called forth against him, he will not be afraid of their voice, nor abase  himself for the noise of them: so shall the LORD of hosts come down to fight for mount Zion, and for the hill thereof. As birds flying, so will the LORD of hosts defend Jerusalem; defending also he will deliver it; and passing over he will preserve it. Turn ye unto him from whom the children of Israel have deeply revolted. For in that day every man shall cast away his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which your own hands have made unto you for a sin. Then shall the Assyrian fall with the sword, not of a mighty man; and the sword, not of a mean man, shall devour him: but he shall flee from the sword, and his young men shall be discomfited. And he shall pass over to his strong hold for fear, and his princes shall be afraid of the ensign, saith the LORD, whose fire is in Zion, and his furnace in Jerusalem.-Isaiah 31:1-9***Immediately before the Israelites followed Moses and his older brother Aaron across the divinely parted Red Sea, after Moses and Aaron led them away from Egyptian slavery, the Israelites panicked and told Moses that they had not wanted to leave Egypt. During their journey through the desert wilderness, the Israelites murmured reminiscently several times and sought to return to Egypt. In the 40th year of their journey to Canaan, the Promised Land, 123-year-old Aaron the high priest died upon Mount Hor. Shortly thereafter, Moses publicly recounted the history of the Israelites. Moses explained the Ten Commandments that the Israelites heard the voice of the Lord God proclaim, and Moses explained the judgments, statutes, and laws that the Lord God gave for the Israelites. Moses told the Israelites that the king they would place over them must not increase the number of horses owned and must not send anyone to Egypt to get more horses. According to the command of the Lord God, Moses told the Israelites that they must not return that way again nor be fearful whenever they saw enemies greatly prepared with an army, horses and chariots. Moses described the blessings that would come upon and overtake them if they obeyed the voice of the Lord God, and the curses that would come upon and overtake them if they did not obey the voice of the Lord God, and the actions that would cause the Lord God to return the Israelites to Egypt. When Moses went upon Mount Nebo, the Lord God showed Moses the Promised Land, and 120-year-old Moses the prophet died and was divinely buried. Joshua, Moses' aide and successor from the tribe of Ephraim, led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham (Abram the Hebrew), and to Abraham's son Isaac, and to Isaac's youngest fraternal twin son Jacob (Israel), and to their descendants. After 110-year-old Joshua died and was buried in his tribe's portion of the Promised Land, the Israelites were led by elders, judges, and their own minds. When Samuel the priest, prophet and judge was elderly, and his sons Joel (Vashni) and Abiah (Abijah) were not obeying the commands of the Lord God, and King Nahash and his Ammonite army were preparing to attack, the Israelite elders demanded that Samuel appoint a king to lead them, and Samuel anointed Saul, from the tribe of Jacob's 12th and last son Benjamin, to reign, according to the command of the Lord God. David, from the tribe of Jacob's 4th born son Judah, was the 2nd king to rule over all of the Israelites. Solomon, the 2nd child born to David and Bathsheba, was the 3rd king to reign. Rehoboam, the son born to Solomon and Naamah, was the 4th king to rule over all of the Israelites. After Rehoboam gave a specific answer, the Israelites split into 2 kingdoms, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of Solomon. Judah was the nation in the south, Jerusalem was the royal city and Rehoboam was the 1st king to reign. Israel was the northern nation, Samaria was the final royal city, and Jeroboam, the son born to Nebat and Zeruah, was the 1st king to reign. Murderers and idolaters always ruled the northern nation of Israel. King Pekah was the 18th king to rule over all of the Israelites in the northern nation of Israel. During Pekah's 20-year reign, the Assyrians invaded the kingdom and King Tiglath-pileser, ruler of Assyria, began taking Israelites captive. During the 9th year of the reign of King Hoshea, the 19th king to rule the northern nation, the Assyrians conquered Samaria, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of the Israelites. David's descendants successively ruled Judah, except for the 6-year reign of Athaliah. Rehoboam's grandson Asa, the 3rd king, Asa's son Jehoshaphat, the 4th king, Jehoshaphat's great-great-great-grandson Uzziah (Azariah), the 9th king, Uzziah's son Jotham, the 10th king,  Jotham's grandson Hezekiah, the 12th king, and Hezekiah's great-grandson Josiah, the 15th king, were the only kings who ruled Judah and only worshiped the Lord God. During Rehoboam's 17-year reign, King Shishak, ruler of Egypt, invaded Jerusalem. During Hezekiah's 29-year reign, King Sennacherib, ruler of Assyria,  accused Hezekiah of seeking help from Egypt. Josiah was killed after challenging Egyptian king Pharaoh Necho (Nechoh). Jehoahaz, the son born to Josiah and Hamutal, was the 16th king to rule Judah. Necho took Jehoahaz captive, and placed Jehoiakim, the son born to Josiah and Zebudah, as king. During Jehoiakim's 11-year reign, the Babylonians (Chaldeans) invaded Judah and Jerusalem, and King Nebuchadnezzar,  ruler of Babylon, began looting the temple of the Lord. Jehoiachin (Jeconiah/Coniah), the son born to Jehoiakim and Nehushta, was the 18th king to rule Judah. During Jehoiachin's 3-month reign, the Babylonians took more prominent Israelites, including Jehoiachin, his wives and mother, to Babylon. Josiah and Hamutal's son Zedekiah (Mattaniah) was the 19th king to rule Judah. Zedekiah sought help from Egypt. During the 11th year of Zedekiah's reign, the Babylonians conquered Jerusalem, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of the Israelites. Over 500 years after Israelites began returning to Judah and Jerusalem, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born in Bethlehem, approximately 6 miles from Jerusalem, into the tribe of Judah, the tribe of Judah's kings, to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Sometime after Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary, Joseph, Mary and Jesus stayed in Egypt for a short while, according to the instructions an angel of the Lord spoke to Joseph.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Leviticus 26:1-46, Numbers 11:1-35, 13:1-14:45, 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 23:1-24:33, Judges, 1 Samuel 1:1-3:21, 8:1-31:13, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings, 2 Kings, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 6:1-81, 7:20-29, 10:1-29:30, 2 Chronicles, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26

Amen and Amen

From a letter written by the apostle Paul
to Timothy:

Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: the Lord reward him according to his works: Of whom be thou ware also; for he hath greatly withstood our words. At my first answer no man stood with me, but all men forsook me: I pray God that it may not be laid to their charge. Notwithstanding the Lord stood with me, and strengthened  me; that by me the preaching might be fully k
nown, and that all the Gentiles might hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion. And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. Salute Prisca and Aquila, and the household of Onesiphorus. Erastus abode at Corinth: but Trophimus have I left at Miletum sick. Do thy diligence to come before winter. Eubulus greeteth thee, and Pudens, and Linus, and Claudia, and all the brethren. The Lord Jesus Christ be with thy spirit. Grace be with you. Amen.-2 Timothy 4:14-22***Less than 33 1/2 years before Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was betrayed by Judas Iscariot the disciple and apostle, and was arrested, Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Approximately 30 years after Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by Mary's relative John the Baptist, from the tribe of Levi. Afterwards, Jesus was tended to by angels, and Jesus went to the area near John the Baptist and John the Baptist proclaimed Jesus to be the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the world, and testified that Jesus is the Son of God. In Galilee, Jesus told specific Israelite men to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites, the treasured and chosen people of the Lord God. Paul (Saul) was an Israelite from the tribe of Benjamin, descended from Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai), Isaac and Rebekah,  Jacob (Israel) and his 2nd wife Rachel, and Jacob and Rachel's 2nd and last son Benjamin. Sometime after Jesus was crucified, buried in a tomb, resurrected, and returned to heaven, Paul began persecuting and imprisoning Israelites throughout Jerusalem who believed Jesus to be the Christ. When Paul was journeying to the synagogues in Damascus, Syria, to find, bind and take to Jerusalem any Israelite believers he found, Paul and those with him saw a light from heaven flash around them. Paul heard the voice of Jesus speaking to him, and Paul spoke to Jesus and obeyed Jesus. In Damascus Paul was baptized. From thenceforward, Paul the apostle journeyed, teaching the good news of Jesus the Christ and everlasting life to Israelites and Gentiles, people not born into the Israelite tribes. After Paul met Timothy (Timotheus) and circumcised him, Timothy began journeying with Paul and with other believers. Paul sent Timothy on missions, and identified Timothy as a fellow worker, son, brother,  and servant of Christ Jesus. Moreover, Paul wrote at least 2 divinely inspired letters to Timothy. Timothy's mother Eunice was an Israelite and believed Jesus to be the Christ of God. Timothy's father was a Gentile. In Corinth, Paul met, lived and worked with Aquila and Priscilla (Prisca). Aquila was an Israelite. Priscilla's heritage is not definitively specified in the Holy Bible. Aquila and Priscilla believed Jesus to be the Messiah, and sailed to Syria with Paul, went to Ephesus with Paul, allowed a congregation of believers to regularly assemble in their home, positioned their lives to help Paul despite any circumstances involved, and were identified by Paul as fellow workers in Christ. Onesiphorus was kind and helpful to Paul in Rome and Ephesus, and purposefully searched for Paul, and was never ashamed of Paul's custody situation. Paul wanted the Lord to be merciful to Onesiphorus and Onesiphorus' household.-Genesis 11:26-35:29, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 8:1-40, 9:35-44, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts, Romans, 1 Corinthians, 2 Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, 1 Thessalonians, 2 Thessalonians, 1 Timothy, 2 Timothy, Titus, Philemon
