...................................................................LET US LEARN TOGETHER WHAT IS GOOD. Job 34:4b(NIV)................................................................Some people see the Bible as a long and boring book filled with incidents and events from the lives of ancient people who probably never existed. The biblical stories are seen as fables. Notably, Romans 15:4 reveals: For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.(KJV) In this blog, many of the situations and conversations found in the divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible have been placed in categories that correspond to expressive sayings and phrases. Reference information, background information and links connecting the people and places are given to help you find a place to begin reading the Bible for yourself.

A Certain King

spoke to some chief priests and elders about
Jesus spoke about the kingdom of heaven:

And Jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables, and said, The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son, And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come. Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage. But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise:  And the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them. But when the the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city. Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy. Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage. So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests. And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment: And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless. Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. For many are called, but few are chosen.-Matthew 22:1-14

Reference Scriptures:
The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.-Matthew 8:8...When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel. And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven. But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.-Matthew 8:10-12

And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables? He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given. For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath. Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.-Matthew 13:10-13...The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.-Matthew 13:41-42...So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just, And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.-Matthew 13:49-50

For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods. And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.-Matthew 25:14-15...His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed:-Matthew 25:26...And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.-Matthew 25:30

Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them, Strive to enter in at the straight gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.-Luke 13:23...There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out.-Luke 13:28

Then said he unto him, A certain man made a great supper, and bade many: And sent his servant at supper time to say to them that were bidden, Come; for all things are now ready. And they all with one consent began to make excuse. The first said unto him, I have bought a piece of ground, and I must needs go and see it: I pray thee have me excused.-Luke 14:16-19...And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled. For I say unto you, That none of those men which were bidden shall taste of my supper.-Luke 14:23-24

Heard Tell

And Dinah the daughter of Leah, which she bare unto Jacob, went out to see the daughters of the land. And when Shechem the son of Hamor the Hivite, prince of the country, saw her, he took her, and lay with her, and defiled her. And his soul clave unto Dinah the daughter of Jacob, and he loved the damsel, and spake kindly unto the damsel. And Shechem spake unto his father Hamor, saying, Get me this damsel to wife. And Jacob heard that he had defiled Dinah his daughter: now his sons were with his  cattle in the field: and Jacob held his peace until they were come. And Hamor the father of Shechem went out unto Jacob to commune with him. And the sons of Jacob came out of the field when they heard it: and the men were grieved, and they were very wroth, because he had wrought folly in Israel in lying with Jacob's daughter; which thing ought not to be done.-Genesis 34:1-7***The Hivites were idol worshipers, and lived in Canaan, and were descended from Noah the ark builder, and Noah's son Ham, and Ham's son Canaan. Terah, his children Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai), and Terah's grandson Lot were descendants of Noah's son Shem. Before Abraham was 75 years old, the Lord God told Abraham to leave his country and kin and come into the land he would be shown. Abraham journeyed away from Ur in southern Mesopotamia with Sarah, Terah and Lot and began living in Haran, in northern Mesopotamia. Sometime after 205-year old Terah died in Haran, Abraham, Sarah, and Lot journeyed with their servants and possessions to Canaan, and the Lord God promised to give Canaan to Abraham's descendants and Abraham. When Abraham was 86 years old, Ishmael was born to Abraham and Hagar, Sarah's maidservant. When Abraham was 99 years old the Lord God gave Abraham the covenant of circumcision, and Abraham, Ishmael and all the males among them were circumcised. When Abraham was 100 years old, Isaac was born to Abraham and 90-year-old Sarah. When Isaac was 40 years old, he was married to Rebekah, Abraham and Sarah's grandniece. During a famine, the Lord God appeared to Isaac and promised to give Canaan to Isaac and Isaac's descendants. When Isaac was 60 years old, fraternal twins Esau(Edom) and Jacob (Israel) were born to Isaac and Rebekah. When Isaac was elderly and his eyesight was diminished and he thought his death was soon to occur, he sent Esau to fulfill a request. Rebekah heard Isaac speaking to Esau and led Jacob into deceiving Isaac and cheating Esau. When Rebekah heard that Esau planned to kill Jacob, she spoke words to Isaac that led Isaac to send Jacob to Rebekah's family in Padan Aram, Haran. During Jacob's 7th year with Rebekah's family, Jacob was married to Leah and Rachel, the daughters of Rebekah's brother Laban the Syrian (Aramean). Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun, and daughter Dinah were born to Jacob and Leah. Dan and Naphatli were born to Jacob and Bilhah, Rachel's maidservant. Gad and Asher were born to Jacob and Zilpah, Leah's maidservant. During Jacob's 20th year in Haran, Jacob began journeying to Canaan with Leah, Rachel, Bilhah, Zilpah, their children, servants, and possessions. Jacob and Esau were reunited after Jacob was involved in a divine wrestling encounter. Benjamin was born to Jacob and Rachel in Canaan, near Bethlehem, and Rachel died. In the region of Shechem, Jacob brought land from Hamor the Hivite. Moreover, in Shechem, Jacob's sons used the necessity of circumcision in a vengeful plan that involved Simeon, Levi, Hamor, Shechem, and the rest of Hivites in the city. In Hebron (Kirjath-arba/Kiriath-arba/Arbah) Jacob was reunited with Isaac. Over 1,750 years after 147-year-old Jacob died in Egypt and his family buried his body in Canaan, and 110-year-old Joseph and his siblings were dead, and their descendants the Israelites were enslaved in Egypt, John the Baptist and Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, were born. John the Baptist was born into the tribe of Levi to elderly Zechariah (Zacharias) the priest and Zechariah's elderly wife Elizabeth (Elisabeth). Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born in Bethlehem into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. On the 8th day after John the Baptist was born, he was circumcised, and on the 8th day after Jesus the Christ was born, Jesus was circumcised. Approximately 30 years after Jesus was born, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by John the Baptist. Jesus having prayed, the heavens tearing open, the Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus. The Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. Jesus fasted 40 days and nights and was tempted. Afterwards, Jesus was tended to by angels, and Jesus went to the area near John the Baptist, and John the Baptist proclaimed Jesus to be the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the world. In Galilee, Jesus told specific Israelite men to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites, the treasured and chosen people of the Lord God. In Samaria, in a portion of land that Jacob possibly acquired from Hivites, Jesus identified himself to a woman and other Samaritans.-Genesis, Exodus, Numbers 13:1-14:45, 20:1-29, 26:1-27:23, Deuteronomy 31:1-34:12, Joshua 1:1-11:23, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-3:31, Ruth, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings, 2 Kings, 1 Chronicles, 2 Chronicles, Ezra 1:1-11, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26

Picture This

From the Epistle to the Hebrews,
in the New Testament of the Holy Bible:

By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau concerning things to come. By faith Jacob, when he was a dying, blessed both the sons of Joseph; and worshipped, leaning upon the top of his staff. By faith Joseph, when he died, made mention of the departing of the children of Israel; and gave commandment concerning his bones.-Hebrews 11:20-22***Manasseh and Ephraim were the sons born to Joseph and his wife Asenath. Asenath was born to Potipherah, an Egyptian priest. Joseph was the 1st son born to Jacob (Israel) and his 2nd wife Rachel. Rachel and her older sister Leah were born to Laban the Syrian (Aramean). Laban and his sister Rebekah were born to Bethuel the Syrian (Aramean). Bethuel was born to Nahor and Milcah. Milcah was born to Haran. Haran, Nahor, Abraham (Abram the Hebrew), and Sarah (Sarai) were born to Terah. Isaac was Abraham and Sarah's only child. Jacob and his older fraternal twin brother Esau (Edom) were Isaac and Rebekah's only children. Esau was Isaac's favorite child, and Jacob was Rebekah's favorite. When Isaac was elderly, and his eyesight was diminished, and he thought he was dying, he sent Esau to hunt a specific animal, and prepare a specific meal, and receive a specific blessing. Rebekah heard Isaac speaking to Esau, and led Jacob to deceive Isaac, cheat Esau, and receive the blessing that Isaac intended for Esau. When Esau went to Isaac, expecting Isaac to eat the meal and have Isaac bless him, the deception was realized. Esau pleaded with Isaac, and Isaac blessed Esau. When Rebekah learned that Esau planned to kill Jacob, she spoke words that led Isaac to send Jacob to Laban and Bethuel's home in Padan, Aram, Haran, in northern Mesopotamia. While Jacob was in Bethel (Luz), Jacob saw angels and the Lord God in a dream and heard the Lord God speaking to him. The Lord God promised to give Canaan, land inhabited by idolaters, to Jacob and Jacob's descendants. During the 7th year after Jacob arrived in Haran, Jacob was married to Leah and Rachel. Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun, and daughter Dinah were born to Jacob and Leah. Dan and Naphtali were born to Jacob and Bilhah, Rachel's maidservant. Gad and Asher were born to Jacob and Zilpah, Leah's maidservant. After Joseph was born, Jacob sought Laban's permission to return, with his family, to Canaan. When Jacob saw the outcome from another arrangement between him and Laban, the Lord God spoke to Jacob, and Jacob spoke to Leah and Rachel. Thus, at least 20 years after Jacob arrived at Laban's, Jacob prepared to move. During the return journey, Esau and Jacob were reunitedIn Canaan, Benjamin was born near Bethlehem, and Rachel died. In Hebron, Jacob and Isaac were reunited. When 180-year-old Isaac died, Esau and Jacob buried Isaac's body. When Joseph was at least 17 years old, his brothers sold him to merchants traveling to Egypt and led Jacob to believe that Joseph was killed by a wild animal. The merchants sold Joseph to Potiphar, an Egyptian official. After Potiphar's wife made a false accusation, Potiphar put Joseph in the king's prison. In prison, Joseph explained the meaning of a dream to the imprisoned cupbearer of Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, and explained the meaning of a dream to Pharaoh's imprisoned baker. At least 2 years thereafter, Joseph explained the meaning of a dream to Pharaoh, and Pharaoh proclaimed Joseph to be second-in-command. During a famine, Jacob sent 10 of his sons to Egypt to buy corn (grain). When Jacob's sons were in Egypt the 2nd time, Joseph identified himself and told them to bring their families, with Jacob, to Egypt. Moreover, Pharaoh provided for and welcomed 130-year-old Jacob and his family. In Egypt, Jacob made Joseph vow to bury his body in Canaan, and Jacob proclaimed Manasseh and Ephraim to be his own sons, and Jacob blessed Manasseh and Ephraim, and Jacob blessed all his sons. After 147-year-old Jacob died, his family buried his body in Canaan, in the same cave wherein the bodies of Sarah, Abraham, Isaac, Rebekah, and Leah were buried. Before 110-year-old Joseph died, he made his brethren vow to take his bones with them when the Lord God brought the Israelites out of Egypt and to the Promised Land. Sometime thereafter, the Israelites were enslaved in Egypt. Miriam and her younger brothers Aaron and Moses were Israelites from the tribe of Levi. When Moses was 80 years old and Aaron was 83, they led the Israelites away from Egypt, across the divinely parted Red Sea, into the desert wilderness of Shur, according to the commands of the Lord God. Moses carried Joseph's bones with him. During the 40-year journey to Canaan, the Promised Land, Miriam died and was buried in Kadesh, in the desert wilderness of Zin. Upon Mount Hor, 123-year-old Aaron died. When Moses went upon Mount Nebo, the Lord God showed Moses the Promised Land, and 120-year-old Moses died and was divinely buried. Joshua, Moses' successor from the tribe of Ephraim, led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham, and Isaac, and to Jacob, and their descendants. In Canaan, the Israelites buried Joseph's bones in Shechem, in land that Jacob purchased from Hamor the Hivite. Over 1,300 years after 110-year-old Joshua died and was buried in his tribe's portion of the Promised Land, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born in Bethlehem into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Approximately 30 years after Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by Mary's relative John the Baptist, from the tribe of Levi. Less than 3 1/2 years after Jesus was baptized, Jesus was betrayed by Judas Iscariot the disciple  and apostle, and Jesus was arrested, crucified, buried in a tomb, resurrected, and returned to heaven. Sometime thereafter, the divinely inspired Epistle to the Hebrews was written by someone who has not been definitively identified.-Genesis, Exodus, Numbers 12:1-14:45, 20:1-29, 26:1-27:23, Deuteronomy 31:1-34:12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-2:23, Ruth, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings, 2 Kings, 1 Chronicles, 2 Chronicles, Ezra 1:1-11, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26, Hebrews

FROM THIS:

And unto Joseph were born two sons before the years of famine came, which Asenath the daughter of Potipherah priest of On bare unto him. And Joseph called the name of the firstborn Manasseh: For God, said he, hath made me forget all my toil, and all my father's house. And the name of the second called he Ephraim: For God hath caused me to be fruitful in the land of my affliction.-Genesis 41:50-52

TO THIS:

And it came to pass after these things, that one told Joseph, Behold, thy father is sick: and he took with him his two sons, Manasseh and Ephraim. And Jacob said unto Joseph, God Almighty appeared unto me at Luz in the land of Canaan, and blessed me, And said unto me, Behold, I will make thee fruitful, and multiply thee, and I will make of thee a multitude of people; and will give this land to thy seed after thee for an everlasting possession. And now thy two sons, Ephraim and Manasseh, which were born unto thee in the land of Egypt before I, came unto thee into Egypt are mine; as Reuben and Simeon, they shall be mine. And thy issue, which thou begettest after them, shall be thine, and shall be called after the name of their brethren in their inheritance.-Genesis 48:1-6

Sum Totals

Some of the cities and land given
to the priests in the Promised Land:

Thus they gave to the children of Aaron the priest Hebron with her suburbs, to be a city of refuge for the slayer; and Libnah with her suburbs, and Jattir with her suburbs, and Eshtemoa with her suburbs, and Holon with her suburbs, and Debir with her suburbs, and Ain with her suburbs, and Juttah with her suburbs, and Bethshemesh with her suburbs; nine cities out of those two tribes. And out of the tribe of Benjamin, Gibeon with her suburbs, Geba with her suburbs, Anathoth with her suburbs, and Almon with her suburbs; four cities. All the cities of the children of Aaron, the priests, were thirteen cities with their suburbs
.
-Joshua 21:13-19***Aaron the priest and his siblings Miriam the prophetess and Moses the prophet were Israelites from the tribe of Levi, descended from Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai), Isaac and Rebekah, Jacob (Israel) and his 1st wife Leah, and Jacob and Leah's 3rd born son Levi. When Moses was 80 years old and Aaron was 83, they led the Israelites away from Egyptian slavery, across the divinely parted Red Sea, and into the desert wilderness of Shur, according to the commands of the Lord God. In the desert wilderness of Sinai, in the region of Mount Sinai, the Israelites heard the voice of the Lord God proclaim the Ten Commandments to them, and the Lord God began giving Moses judgments, statutes and laws for the Israelites. The Lord God described to Moses the punishment that must take place after an intentional killing or an unintentional killing occurred. When Moses was upon Mount Sinai with the Lord God for 40 days and nights, the Lord God told Moses that only Aaron, and Aaron's sons and the sons born to their descendants were to serve the Lord God as priests. While the Israelites were still camped in the region of Mount Sinai, the Lord God told Moses that the other men in the tribe of Levi, the Levites, were to assist the priests and all the Israelites at the tabernacle, and the Lord God told Moses that he had taken the Levites for himself. When the Israelites were in the desert wilderness of Paran, the Lord God told Aaron that Aaron was not to have any inheritance in Canaan, the Promised Land. The Lord God told Aaron that Aaron was not to have any portion among the Israelites, and the Lord God told Aaron that the Lord God is Aaron's portion and inheritance. During the 40-year journey to the Promised Land, Miriam died and was buried in Kadesh, in the desert wilderness of Zin. Upon Mount Hor, 123-year-old Aaron died. Sometime thereafter, the Lord God told Moses to command the Israelites to give the Levites cities and pastures from each tribe's portion of the Promised Land, 48 cities altogether. Six of the cities were to be cities of refuge for anyone involved in an unintentional killing. When Moses went upon Mount Nebo, the Lord God showed Moses the Promised Land, and 120-year-old Moses died and was divinely buried. Joshua, Moses' successor, was from the tribe of Ephraim, descended from Jacob and his 2nd wife Rachel, their firstborn son Joseph and his wife Asenath, and Joseph and Asenath's 2nd born son Ephraim. In Egypt, Jacob had proclaimed Ephraim and Ephraim's older brother Manasseh to be his own sons, and the tribe of Joseph became the tribe of Manasseh and the tribe of Ephraim. Joshua led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham, and Isaac, and to Jacob, and their descendants. After conquering Jericho, Ai, and some more of the idol worshiping inhabitants in Canaan, Joshua, and the appointed tribal leaders, and Aaron's son and successor Eleazar the priest allotted each tribe their portion of the Promised Land, according to the commands that the Lord God gave Moses, and the commands that the Lord God gave Joshua. The Israelites in the tribe of Gad, the Gadites, descended from Jacob and Zilpah, Leah's maidservant. Before Moses died, he gave the tribe of Gad, and the tribe of Jacob and Leah's firstborn son Reuben, and 1/2 the tribe of Manasseh land and cities on the same side of the Jordan River that the Israelites had wandered through during the journey, according to their request, and Moses appointed 3 of the cities to be cities of refuge. The Levites eventually received 7 additional cities from the Reubenites, Gadites, and 1/2 the tribe of Manasseh, giving the Levites a total of 10 cities. On the side of the Jordan River, Joshua continued leading the Israelites, and 38 cities were given to the priests and Levites, with 3 of the cities being cities of refuge. The tribe of Jacob and Leah's 2nd born son Simeon and the tribe of Jacob and Leah's 4th born son Judah gave a combined total of 9 cities: Hebron, Libnah, Jattir, Eshtemoa, Holon, Debir, Ain, Juttah, and Beth-shemesh. The tribe of Jacob and Rachel's 2nd and last son Benjamin gave 4 cities: Gibeon, Geba, Anathoth, Almon. Over 300 years after 110-year-old Joshua died and was buried in his tribe's portion of the Promised Land, Saul, from the tribe of Benjamin, became the 1st king to rule over the Israelites in the Promised Land. David, from the tribe of Judah, became the 2nd king to reign over all of the Israelites. Over 900 years after Solomon, the 2nd child born to David and Bathsheba, became the 3rd king to reign over all of the Israelites, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born in Bethlehem, David's hometown, into the tribe of Judah, in the portion of the Promised Land previously  allotted to the tribe of Judah, to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Before Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary, and after Jesus was betrayed, arrested, crucified, buried in a tomb, resurrected, seen by over 500 people, and retuned to heaven less than 33 1/2 years after he was born, the Roman Empire was ruling the land whereupon the kingdoms of the Israelites previously stood.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Numbers, Deuteronomy 31:1-34:12, Joshua, Judges 1:1-2:23, Ruth, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings, 2 Kings, 1 Chronicles, 2 Chronicles, Ezra 1:1-11, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26

Authoritatively Speak

Jesus the Christ, the Son of God.
speaking to Simon Peter and the
other disciples:

And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots. And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away. And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have aught against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.-Mark 11:20-26***Simon Peter and the 11 other disciples and apostles with Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, were Israelites, descendants of Jacob (Israel). Jacob was the youngest fraternal twin son born to Isaac and Rebekah. Isaac was the only child born to Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai). Abraham and Sarah were born to Terah. Terah was the great-great-great-great-great-grandson of Arphaxad. Arphaxad was born to Shem. Shem was born to Noah the ark builder. Noah was the great-grandson of Enoch. Enoch was the great-great-great-grandson of Seth. Seth was born to Adam and Eve.  Adam was the 1st man. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that the Lord God created Adam. The Lord God formed Adam from the dust of the ground, and the Lord God made Adam's wife Eve, the mother of all living, after taking a part out of Adam. In Padan Aram, Haran, Jacob was married to Leah and Rachel, the daughters of Rebekah's brother Laban the Syrian (Aramean). Joseph and Benjamin were born to Jacob and Rachel. When Jacob was 130 years old, he moved with his family from Canaan to Egypt, the country wherein Joseph was second-in-command. In Egypt, Jacob proclaimed Manasseh and Ephraim, the sons born to Joseph and his wife Asenath, to be his own sons. Sometime after 147-year old Jacob died in Egypt, and Jacob's family buried his body in Canaan, and 110-year-old Joseph and his siblings were dead, their descendants the Israelites were enslaved in Egypt. Miriam and her younger brothers Aaron and Moses were born into the tribe of Levi. When Moses was 80 years old and Aaron was 83, the Lord God sent them to speak to the Israelite elders and Pharaoh, the king of Egypt. After the Lord God brought the 10th and final plague upon Pharaoh and Egypt, Moses and Aaron led the Israelites, and those with them, away from Egypt, across the divinely parted Red Sea, and into the desert wilderness of Shur. During the 40-year journey to Canaan, the Promised Land, Miriam the prophetess died and was buried in Kadesh, in the desert wilderness of Zin. Upon Mount Hor, 123-year-old Aaron the high priest died. When Moses went upon Mount Nebo, the Lord God showed Moses the Promised Land, and 120-year-old Moses the prophet died and was divinely buried. Joshua, Moses' aide and successor from the tribe of Ephraim, led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham, and Isaac, and to Jacob, and their descendants. Over 300 years after 110-year-old Joshua died and was buried in his tribe's portion of the Promised Solomon was born into the tribe of Judah, to King David and Bathsheba. David was the 2nd king to rule over all of the Israelites. Before 70-year-old David died, Solomon became the 3rd king to rule over all of the Israelites. When Solomon was in Gibeon, a city allotted to the tribe of Benjamin and inhabited by priests and Levites, the other Israelites from the tribe of Levi, the Lord God appeared in a dream and told Solomon to ask the Lord God for whatever he wanted the Lord God to give him. be given. Rehoboam, the son born to Solomon and Naamah, was the 3rd king to rule over all of the Israelites. After Rehoboam gave a specific answer, the Israelites split into 2 kingdoms, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of Solomon. Israel was the northern nation, Samaria was the final royal city, and Jeroboam, the son born to Nebat and Zeruah, was the 1st king to reign. Judah was the nation in the south, Jerusalem was the royal city, and Rehoboam was the 1st king to reign. Rehoboam's great-grandson Jehoshaphat was the 4th king to rule Judah. During Jehoshaphat's 25-year reign, the Moabites, Ammonites and their allies came to attack. Jehoshaphat was fearful, and positioned himself to seek the Lord God, and proclaimed a fast throughout the kingdom. The Israelites in Judah united to ask for help from the Lord God, and Jehoshaphat prayed to the Lord God. Jehoshaphat's great-great-great-great-great-grandson Ahaz was the 11th king to rule Judah. During Ahaz's 16-year reign, King Rezin, ruler of Syria (Aram), and King Pekah, the 18th king to rule over all of the Israelites in the northern nation of Israel, came to attack, according to the will of the Lord God. The Lord God sent Isaiah the prophet to Ahaz with a message, and Ahaz was told that he could ask for a sign from the Lord God. Hezekiah, the son born to Ahaz and Abi (Abijah), was the 12th king to rule Judah. When Hezekiah was deathly ill, the Lord God sent Isaiah with a message for Hezekiah. Hezekiah prayed to the Lord God and Hezekiah cried. The Lord God gave Isaiah another message for Hezekiah and Hezekiah asked Isaiah about a sign from the Lord God. Over 600 years after Manasseh, the son born to Hezekiah and Hephzibah, became the 13th king to rule Judah and was responsible for innocent blood being shed that the Lord God would not forgive, John the Baptist and Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, were born. John the Baptist was born into the tribe of Levi to Zechariah (Zacharias) the priest and his wife Elizabeth (Elisabeth). Jesus the Christ was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Elizabeth's relative Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Approximately 30 years after John the Baptist and Jesus the Christ were born, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by John the Baptist. Afterwards, Jesus was tended to by angels, and Jesus went to the area near John the Baptist and John the Baptist proclaimed Jesus to be the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the world, and testified that Jesus is the Son of God. In Galilee, Jesus told specific Israelite men, including Simon Peter, to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites, the treasured and chosen people of the Lord God. Jesus said:

And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.-Matthew 6:5-6...For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:-Matthew 6:14

Ask and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.-Matthew 7:7-8

Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.-Matthew 18:19-20

Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.-Matthew 21:21-22

Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:-Luke 6:37

And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.-Luke 11:9-10

Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him. And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.-Luke 17:3-4...And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.-Luke 17:6

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.-John 14:12-14

If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.-John 15:7-8...Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.-John 15:16

And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name; ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.-John 16:23-24

Reference Scriptures:
Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.-Matthew 18:21-22...So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.-Matthew 18:35

-And Jesus entered into Jerusalem, and into the temple: and when he had looked round about upon all things, and now the eventide was come, he went out unto Bethany with the twelve. And on the morrow, when they were come from Bethany, he was hungry: And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves;. for the time of figs was not yet. And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it.-Mark 11:11-14

If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.-James 1:5-7

Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.-1 John 3:21-22

These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.-1 John 5:13-15
