Prayer Requests

From a letter written by the apostle Paul,
with Silvanus (Silas) and Timotheus (Timothy),
to believers in Thessalonica:

Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you: And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith. But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil. And we have confidence in the Lord touching you, that ye both do and will do the things which we command you. And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.-2 Thessalonians 3:1-5***Paul (Saul) was an Israelite from the tribe of Benjamin, descended from Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai), Isaac and Rebekah, Jacob (Israel) and his 2nd wife Rachel, and Jacob and Rachel's 2nd and last son Benjamin. Sometime after Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was  betrayed, arrested, crucified, buried in a tomb, resurrected, and returned to heaven, Paul and those with them saw a light from heaven flash around them. Paul heard the voice of Jesus speaking to him, and Paul spoke to Jesus and obeyed Jesus. The men journeying with Paul led Paul to Damascus. In Damascus, Paul was baptized, and was in the home of Judas, and in the home of Ananias, and among a group of disciples. Afterwards, Paul the apostle went to Arabia, and went to Damascus and Jerusalem. In many places, amid various circumstances and environments, Paul proclaimed the good news of  Jesus the Christ to Israelites and Gentiles, people not born into the Israelite tribes. Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance? Who hath directed the Spirit of the LORD, or being his counsellor hath taught him? Absalom and Hushai

Then said Absalom, Call now Hushai the Archite also, and let us hear likewise what he saith. And when Hushai was come to Absalom, Absalom spake unto him, saying, Ahithophel hath spoken after this manner: shall we do after his saying? if not; speak thou. And Hushai said unto Absalom, The counsel that Ahithophel hath given is not good at this time. For, said Hushai, thou knowest thy father and his men, that they be mighty men, and they be chafed in their minds, as a bear robbed of her whelps in the field: and thy father is a man of war, and will not lodge with the people. Behold, he is hid now in some pit, or in some other place: and it will come to pass, when some of them be overthrown at the first, that whosoever heareth it will say, There is a slaughter among the people that follow Absalom. And he also that is valiant, whose heart is as the heart of a lion, shall utterly melt: for all Israel knoweth that thy father is a mighty man, and they which be with him are valiant men. Therefore I counsel that all Israel be generally gathered unto thee, from Dan even to Beersheba, as the sand that is by the sea for multitude; and that thou go to battle in thine own person. So shall we come upon him in some place where he shall be found, and we will light upon him as the dew falleth on the ground: and of him and of all the men that are with him there shall not be left so much as one. Moreover, if he be gotten into a city, then shall all Israel bring ropes to that city, and we will draw it into the river, until there be not one small stone found there. And Absalom and all the men of Israel said, The counsel of Hushai the Archite is better than the counsel of Ahithophel. For the LORD had appointed to defeat the good counsel of Ahithophel, to the intent that the LORD might bring evil upon Absalom.-2 Samuel 17:5-14***King David was the 2nd king to rule over all of the Israelites in the Promised Land, the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham (Abram the Hebrew), and to Abraham's son Isaac, and to Isaac's youngest fraternal twin son Jacob (Israel), and to their descendants. David had many wives, concubines and children. Amnon, the son born to David and Ahinoam, raped Tamar, the daughter born to David and Maacah (Maachah), a Syrian (Aramean) princess from Geshur. Two years thereafter, David and Maacah's son Absalom commanded Amnon's death, and Amnon was killed, and Absalom escaped to Geshur. Joab, David's nephew and army commander,  succeeded with a plan that resulted in David sending him to Geshur and bringing Absalom home to Jerusalem, the royal city. However, according to David's words to Joab, Absalom was not brought to David. Two years after Absalom's return, Absalom put forth plans  that involved Joab and Joab's land, and Absalom was finally brought to David, and David kissed Absalom. In Jerusalem, Absalom worked to take the kingship during David's reign. While Absalom was being proclaimed king, David and those loyal to David began leaving Jerusalem. David's advisor Ahithophel joined Absalom. After David learned of Ahithophel's betrayal, David prayed a specific request to the Lord God about the advice Ahithophel would offer Absalom. Hushai, David's friend, followed David's instructions and went to Absalom, pretending to be on Absalom's side. Hushai led Absalom to choose his plan, and was able to relay an important message to David through Zadok the priest, and Zadok's son Ahimaaz, and Abiathar the priest, and Abiathar's son Jonathan. Zadok remained on David's side for the rest of David's life. Adonijah was the son born to David and Haggith. When David was approximately 70 years old and still reigning, Abiathar and Joab joined Adonijah, who worked to proclaim himself king. Over 900 years after Solomon, a son born to David and Bathsheba, became the 3rd king to rule over all of the Israelites, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that David went from being a shepherd, to being anointed to reign as king, to working as a musician and an armor-bearer for King Saul, the reigning ruler, to being the slayer of Goliath the gigantic Philistine, to being captain over 1,000 soldiers, to being married to Saul's daughter Michal, to being on the run from Saul, to being the leader of approximately 400 men, to becoming the husband of Abigail and Ahinoam, to living in Ziklag among the Philistines with his wives, and his men and their families, to being king only over the tribe of Judah after Saul's self-inflicted death on the battlefield, to being king over all of the Israelite tribes sometime after the death of Saul's son Ishbosheth (Eshbaal). Absalom was the son born to David and Maacah. Ahithophel eventually left David and joined Absalom when Absalom had himself proclaimed king while David reigned. David prayed and made a request to the Lord God. Meanwhile, David's adviser Ahithophel advised Absalom regarding David's concubines. Ahithophel wanted to be allowed to put together a huge troop and kill David. However, Absalom and those on Absalom's side did not heed Ahitophel's suggestion. Instead, Hushai's advice was followed by Absalom, without Absalom knowing that Hushai was secretly working for David. Ahithophel ended his own life. Jonathan and Joab were David's close relatives, and Abiathar was a priest. Jonathan, Joab and Abiathar were in David's life before David reigned as king. When Absalom turned against David, Abiathar and Joab stayed on David's side. When David was old and still reigning, Adonijah, the son born to David and Haggith, worked to proclaim himself king, and Abiathar and Joab left David and went to Adonijah. Which One

And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all? And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he: And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices. And when Jesus saw that he answered discreetly, he said unto him, Thou art not far from the kingdom of God. And no man after that durst ask him any question. And the common people heard him gladly.-Mark 12:28-37***Levi was the 3rd son born to Jacob (Israel) and his 1st wife Leah, and Judah was Jacob and Leah's 4th born son. Joseph was the 1st son born to Jacob and his 2nd wife Rachel. Over 800 years after Benjamin was born near Bethlehem to Jacob and Rachel, and Rachel died, Samuel the priest, prophet and judge from the tribe of Levi went to Bethlehem and anointed David, from the tribe of Judah, to reign as king, according to the command of the Lord God. When David was 30 years old, he began to reign only over the tribe of Judah in the Promised Land. When David was 37 1/2 years old, he became the 2nd king to rule over all of the Israelites in the Promised Land, the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham, and Isaac, and to Jacob, and their descendants. The names of several scribes who worked and served during David's kingship and throughout the reigns of David's successors, and the names of some scribes who served with the prophets of the Lord God, are revealed in the divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible. Scribes were specially educated Israelites who could legibly transcribe, copy and record information, and were taught, and could teach the Ten Commandments that the Israelite ancestors heard the voice of the Lord God proclaim to them, and the judgments, statutes and laws that the Lord God gave Moses for the Israelites. Moreover, scribes sometimes helped counsel the king. Seraiah (Sheva/Shavsha) was the scribe during David's reign, and David's close relative Jonathan was another scribe. Solomon, a son born to David and Bathsheba, was the 3rd king to rule over all of the Israelites. Rehoboam, the son born to Solomon and Naamah, was the 4th king to rule over all of the Israelites. After Rehoboam gave a specific answer, the Israelites split into 2 kingdoms, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of Solomon. Judah was the nation in the south, Jerusalem was the royal city, and Rehoboam was the 1st king to reign. Israel was the northern nation, Samaria was the final royal city, and Jeroboam, the son born to Nebat and Zeruah, was the 1st king to reign. Less than 200 years after Jeroboam's son Nadab became the 2nd king to rule the northern nation of Israel, the Assyrians invaded the kingdom and conquered Samaria, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of the Israelites. Less than 140 years after Samaria was conquered, Rehoboam's great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandson Zedekiah (Mattaniah) became the 19th king to rule Judah. During the 11th year of Zedekiah's reign, the Babylonians (Chaldeans) conquered Jerusalem, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of the Israelites. Over 500 years after Israelites began returning to Judah and Jerusalem, John the Baptist and Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, were born. John the Baptist was born into the tribe of Levi to Zechariah (Zacharias) the priest and his wife Elizabeth (Elisabeth). Jesus the Christ was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Elizabeth's relative Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah, the tribe of Judah's kings, to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Approximately 30 years after John the Baptist and Jesus the Christ were born, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by John the Baptist. Jesus having prayed, the heavens tearing open, the Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus. The Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. Jesus fasted 40 days and nights and was tempted. Afterwards, Jesus was tended to by angels, and Jesus went to the area near John the Baptist, and John the Baptist proclaimed Jesus to be the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the world, and testified that Jesus is the Son of God. In Galilee, Jesus told specific Israelite men to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites, the treasured and chosen people of the Lord God. The  names of the scribes who came in contact with Jesus are not revealed in the Holy Bible. Jesus explained that the scribes were 

hypocrites. The scribes knew the laws that the Lord God gave Moses, and the scribes knew the traditions that were passed down by the Israelite elders. Saying Nothing

Now there was long war between the house of Saul and the house of David: but David waxed stronger and stronger, and the house of Saul waxed weaker and weaker. And unto David were sons born in Hebron: and his firstborn was Amnon, of Ahinoam the Jezreelitess; And his second, Chileab, of Abigail the wife of Nabal the Carmelite; and the third, Absalom the son of Maacah the daughter of Talmai king of Geshur; And the fourth, Adonijah the son of Haggith: and the fifth, Shephatiah the son of Abital; And the sixth, Ithream, by Eglah David's wife. These were born to David in Hebron. And it came to pass, while there was war between the house of Saul and the house of David, that Abner made himself strong for the house of Saul. And Saul had a concubine, whose name was Rizpah, the daugther of Aiah: and Ish-bosheth said to Abner, Wherefore hast thou gone in unto my father's concubine? Then was Abner very wroth for the words of Ish-bosheth, and said, Am I a dog's head, which against Judah do shew kindness this day unto the house of Saul thy father, to his brethren, and to his friends, and have not delivered thee into the hand of David, that thou chargest me to day with a fault concerning this woman? And he could not answer Abner a word again, because he feared him.-2 Samuel 3:1-11***Saul was an Israelite from the tribe of Benjamin, descended from Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai), Isaac and Rebekah, Jacob (Israel) and his 2nd wife Rachel, and Jacob and Rachel's 2nd and last son Benjamin. David was from the tribe of Judah, descended from Jacob and his 1st wife Leah, and Jacob and Leah's 4th born son Judah. Samuel the priest, prophet and judge was from the tribe of Jacob and Leah's 3rd born son Levi. When Samuel was elderly, and his sons Joel (Vashni) and Abiah (Abijah) were not obeying the commands of the Lord God, and King Nahash and his Ammonite army were preparing to attack, the Israelite elders demanded that Samuel appoint a king to lead them. After praying to the Lord God and hearing from the Lord God, Samuel spoke to the Israelites and anointed Saul to reign as king, according to the command of the Lord God. At least twice, Saul did not obey the commands of the Lord God. The Lord God tore the kingdom from Saul and sent Samuel to anoint David to reign as king. David continued working as a shepherd, and began serving as a musician and an armor-bearer for Saul, and killed and beheaded Goliath the gigantic Philistine. David and Jonathan, Saul's son, made a covenant. The Israelite women sang of David higher than they sang of Saul, and Saul was angry. Saul wanted to kill David, and became afraid of David, and sent David on missions to get killed, and commanded others, including Jonathan, to kill David. Saul's daughter Michal was married to David after David brought the foreskins from 200 Philistines as commanded, and Michal helped David escape from their home. Meanwhile, during David's years on the run, Saul arranged for Michal to become the wife of Phalti (Palti/Phaltiel/Paltiel) and David was married to Abigail and Ahinoam. Sometime after the Philistines killed Jonathan and his brothers Malchishua and Abinadab (Ishui?), and Saul's self-inflicted death on the same battlefield, David went to Hebron, a city in the portion of the Promised Land that was allotted to the tribe of Judah. Men from the tribe of Judah anointed 30-year-old David, and David began to reign only over the tribe of Judah. Saul's cousin and army commander Abner placed Saul's son Ishbosheth (Eshbaal) as king over the other Israelite tribes. After Ishbosheth made an accusation, Abner offered his allegiance to David, and Michal was taken from Phalti and brought to David. In Hebron, Joab killed Abner, the unwillingly killer of Joab's brother Asahel. Sometime after Ishbosheth was killed, the Israelite elders went to David, and David made a covenant with them. The elders anointed 37-year-old David and David began to rule over all of the Israelites. Over 900 years after Solomon, a son born to David and Bathsheba, became the 3rd king to rule over all of the Israelites, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. When Moses was 80 years old and Aaron was 83, the Lord God sent them to speak to the Israelite elders and Pharaoh, the king of Egypt. After the Lord God brought the 10th and final plague upon Pharaoh and Egypt, Moses and Aaron led the Israelites, and those with them, away from Egyptian slavery, across the divinely parted Red Sea, and into the desert wilderness of Shur. In the desert wilderness of Sinai, in the region of Mount Sinai, the Lord God gave Moses commands for consecrating the Israelites. After the Israelites were consecrated, the Lord God descended upon Mount Sinai in fire and the Israelites heard the voice of the Lord God proclaim the Ten Commandments. The Israelites became frightened and told Moses to listen to the words of the Lord God and speak the words of the Lord God to them. The Lord God agreed with their request. The 7th of the Ten Commandments involved the vain use of the name of the Lord God. While the Israelites were still in the region of Mount Sinai, the Lord God told Moses that the Israelites were not to swear falsely by the name of the Lord God nor irreverence the name of the Lord God. During the 40-year journey to Canaan, the Promised Land, Miriam the prophetess died and was buried in Kadesh, in the desert wilderness of Zin. Upon Mount Hor, 123-year-old Aaron the high priest died. Sometime thereafter, while directly across from the Promised Land, Moses spoke about the command that required men to accomplish every vow and oath personally uttered and that one's word and one's promise to the Lord God must be kept. Moses spoke his final messages to the Israelites, and Moses and Joshua, his aide and successor from the tribe of Ephraim, taught the Israelites a song, and Moses blessed the Israelites. When Moses went upon Mount Nebo, the Lord God showed Moses the Promised Land, and 120-year-old Moses the prophet died and was divinely buried. Joshua led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham, and Isaac, and to Jacob, and their descendants. Over 300 years after 110-year-old Joshua died and was buried in his tribe's portion of the Promised Land, David was born into the tribe of Jacob and Leah's 4th born son Judah. Over a decade after David was born, Samuel the priest, prophet and judge from the tribe of Levi anointed David to reign as king, according to the command of the Lord God. When David was 30 years old, he began to reign as king only over the tribe of Judah, and when David was 37 1/2 years old, he became the 2nd king to rule over all of the Israelites. Moreover, David was a psalmist and was divinely inspired to write and reveal that in the tabernacle and in the holy hill of the Lord God will be those who do not deceptively swear, and those who fulfill their vows, even if fulfilling their vow is at a personal loss. Over 900 years after Solomon, a son born to David and Bathsheba, became the 3rd king to rule over all of the Israelites, and 70-year-old David died, John the Baptist and Jesus the Christ,  the Son of God, were born. John the Baptist was born into the tribe of Levi to Zechariah (Zacharias) the priest and his wife Elizabeth (Elisabeth). Jesus the Christ was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Elizabeth's relative Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Approximately 30 years after John the Baptist and Jesus the Christ were born, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by John the Baptist. Jesus having prayed, the heavens tearing open, the Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus. The Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. Jesus fasted 40 days and nights and was tempted. Afterwards, Jesus was tended to by angels, and Jesus went to the area near John the Baptist, and John the Baptist proclaimed Jesus to be the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the world, and testified that Jesus is the Son of God.
