...................................................................LET US LEARN TOGETHER WHAT IS GOOD. Job 34:4b(NIV)................................................................Some people see the Bible as a long and boring book filled with incidents and events from the lives of ancient people who probably never existed. The biblical stories are seen as fables. Romans 15:4 (KJV) reveals: For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope. In this blog, many of the situations and conversations found in the divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible have been placed in categories that correspond to expressive sayings and phrases. Reference information, background information and links connecting the people and places are given to help you find a place to begin reading the Bible for yourself.

More Plus More Because of the Lord

But Samuel ministered before the LORD, being a child, girded with a linen ephod. Moreover his mother made him a little coat, and brought it to him from year to year, when she came up with her husband to offer the yearly sacrifice. And Eli blessed Elkanah and his wife, and said, The LORD give thee seed of this woman for the loan which is lent to the LORD. And they went unto their own home. And the LORD visited Hannah, so that she conceived, and bare three sons and two daughters. And the child Samuel grew before the LORD.-1 Samuel 2:18-21***Years before Samuel, the priest, prophet and judge, was born into the tribe of Levi to Elkanah and Hannah, many sons and daughters were born to Elkanah and Peninnah, Elkanah's other wife. Hannah was childless and was mocked by Peninnah. When Hannah was in Shiloh close to the tabernacle of the Lord God, Hannah prayed to the Lord God and cried and vowed that if the Lord God gave her a son she would give the son to the Lord God. Eli the priest was watching Hannah and thought Hannah was drunk. After Eli spoke to Hannah and understood Hannah's prayer, Eli spoke in prophetic agreement of Hannah's prayer, and when a son was born to Elkanah and Hannah, according to the will of the Lord God, Hannah named the child Samuel. After Samuel was weaned, Hannah took Samuel to live at the tabernacle complex in Shiloh. When Samuel was young, he heard the voice of the Lord God calling him, and Samuel told Eli all the words that the Lord God had spoken to him. When Samuel was older, Samuel explained to the Israelites the actions that must occur before the Lord God delivered the Israelites from the Philistines. After the Israelites obeyed the commands of the Lord God, Samuel prayed and cried to the Lord God and sacrificed a burnt offering to the Lord God. When Samuel was very old, and his sons Joel (Vashni) and Abiah were not obeying the commands of the Lord God, and King Nahash and his Ammonite army were preparing to attack, the Israelite elders demanded that Samuel appoint a king to lead them. Samuel prayed, and listened to the words of the Lord God, and told the Israelites all the words that he heard from the Lord God, and anointed Saul, from the tribe of Benjamin, to reign as king over the Israelites in the Promised Land, according to the command of the Lord God. Samuel presented Saul to the Israelites, the treasured and chosen people of the Lord God, and spoke to them, recounting some of the history and disobedience of the Israelites, and telling the Israelites that he would not stop praying for them, and saying he would teach them the good and right way. At least twice, Saul did not obey the commands of the Lord God. The Lord God rejected the kingship of Saul, and the Lord God sent Samuel to anoint David, from the tribe of Judah, to reign as king. Shortly thereafter, David began serving as a musician and an armor-bearer for Saul, and David killed and beheaded Goliath the gigantic Philistine. David and Jonathan, Saul's son made a covenant. The Israelite women sang of David higher than they sang of Saul, and Saul was angry. Saul wanted to kill David, and became afraid of David, and sent David on missions to get killed, and  commanded others, including Jonathan, to kill David. Saul's daughter Michal was married to David and helped David escape from their home. David ran to Samuel in Ramah (Ramathaim), Samuel's birthplace and hometown. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that sometime before Samuel died and was buried in Ramah, and before the Philistines killed Jonathan and his brothers Malchishua and Abinadab (Ishui?), and Saul's self-inflicted death on the same battlefield, Samuel and David seemingly worked together detailing the presence of gatekeepers at the tabernacle. When David was in Hebron, according to the will of the Lord God, men from the tribe of Judah anointed 30-year-old David, and David began to reign only over the tribe of Judah. Saul's son Ishbosheth (Eshbaal) ruled over the other Israelite tribes. Sometime after Ishbosheth was murdered, the Israelite elders went to David, and David made a covenant with them. The elders anointed 37-year-old David, and David became the 2nd king to rule over all of the Israelites in the Promised Land, the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham (Abram the Hebrew), and to Abraham's son Isaac, and to Isaac's youngest fraternal twin son Jacob (Israel), and to their descendants. Over 900 years after Solomon, the 2nd child born to David and Bathsheba, became the 3rd king to rule over all of the Israelites, and 70-year-old David died, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Numbers 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 12:1-32, 16:1-22 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 18:1-28, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-2:23, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings 1:1-11:43, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 6:1-81, 8:1-40, 9:35-29:30, 2 Chronicles 1:1-9:31, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26

The One Specific Place

And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, Speak unto Aaron and to his sons, saying, This is the law of the sin offering: In the place where the burnt offering is killed shall the sin offering be killed before the LORD: it is most holy. The priest that offereth it for sin shall eat it: in the holy place shall it be eaten, in the court of the tabernacle of the congregation. Whatsoever shall touch the flesh thereof shall be holy: and when there is sprinkled of the blood thereof upon any garment, thou shalt wash that whereon it was sprinkled in the holy place. But the earthen vessel wherein it is sodden shall be broken: and if it be sodden in a brasen pot, it shall be both scoured, and rinsed in water. All the males among the priests shall eat thereof: it is most holy. And no sin offering, whereof any of the blood is brought into the tabernacle of the congregation to reconcile withal in the holy place, shall be eaten: it shall be burnt in the fire.-Leviticus 6:24-30***Moses and his older siblings Miriam and Aaron were Israelites from the tribe of Levi, descended from Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai), Isaac and Rebekah, Jacob (Israel) and his 1st wife Leah, and Jacob and Leah's 3rd born son Levi. When Moses was 80 years old and Aaron was 83, the Lord God sent them to speak to the Israelite elders and Pharaoh, the king of Egypt. After the Lord God brought the 10th and final plague upon Pharaoh and Egypt, Moses and Aaron led the Israelites, and those with them, away from Egyptian slavery, across the divinely parted Red Sea, and into the desert wilderness of Shur. In the desert wilderness of Sinai, in the region of Mount Sinai, the Israelites were consecrated according to the commands that the Lord God gave Moses. The Lord God descended upon Mount Sinai, and the Israelites heard Moses speak to the Lord God, and the Israelites heard the voice of the Lord God proclaim the Ten Commandments to them. The Israelites became afraid and gave reasons for Moses to speak to them. The Lord God told Moses that the Israelites had spoken well and the Lord God said he would speak to Moses and Moses was to teach the Israelites the commandments,  judgments and statutes. The Lord God made a covenant with the Israelites, and Moses sprinkled the blood of the covenant upon the Israelites. When Moses was upon Mount Sinai 40 days and nights with the Lord God, the Lord God gave Moses commands for the offering the Israelites were to willingly bring, and the Lord God described to Moses and showed Moses the likeness of the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and the tabernacle, and the altar of burnt offering, and the other sacred items that the Israelites were to make. The Lord God told Moses that only Aaron and Aaron's sons and the sons born to their descendants were to serve the Lord God as priests. The burnt offering and sin offering, whether ox, sheep, goats, turtledoves, or young pigeons, were only to be killed at the tabernacle, on the north side of the altar of burnt offering. Notably, the sin offering could also be fine flour. Before Moses returned to the Israelites,
the Lord God gave Moses 2 stone tablets whereupon were written, with the finger of God, the Ten Commandments. Shortly after the golden calf incident, Moses was upon Mount Sinai 40 more days and nights with the Lord God and the Lord God gave Moses 2 more stone tablets whereupon were written, with the finger of God, the Ten Commandments. During the 40-year journey to Canaan, the Promised Land, Miriam the prophetess died and was buried in Kadesh, in the desert wilderness of Zin. Upon Mount Hor, 123-year-old Aaron the high priest died. When Moses went upon Mount Nebo, the Lord God showed Moses the Promised Land, and 120-year-old Moses the prophet died and was divinely buried. Joshua, Moses' aide and successor from the tribe of Ephraim, was descended from Jacob and his 2nd wife Rachel, their firstborn son Joseph and his wife Asenath, and Joseph and Asenath's 2nd born son Ephraim, whom Jacob proclaimed to be his own son. Joshua led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham, and Isaac, and to Jacob, and their descendants. Over 1,300 years after 110-year-old Joshua died and was buried in his tribe's portion of the Promised Land, John the Baptist and Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, were born. John the Baptist was born into the tribe of Levi to Zechariah (Zacharias) the priest and his wife Elizabeth (Elisabeth). Jesus the Christ was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Elizabeth's relative Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Jacob and Leah's 4th born son Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Approximately 30 years after John the Baptist and Jesus the Christ were born, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by John the Baptist. Jesus having prayed, the heavens tearing open, the Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus. The Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. Jesus fasted 40 days and nights and was tempted. Afterwards, Jesus was tended to by angels, and Jesus went to the area near John the Baptist, and John the Baptist proclaimed Jesus to be the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the world, and testified that Jesus is the Son of God. In Galilee, Jesus told specific Israelite men to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers 3:1-4:49, 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 6:1-81, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26, Hebrews 9:1-13:25

The Lord God Himself

Psalm 85

LORD, thou hast been favourable unto thy land: thou hast brought back the captivity of Jacob. Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people, thou hast covered all their sin. Selah. Thou hast taken away all thy wrath: thou hast turned thyself from the fierceness of thine anger. Turn us, O God of our salvation, and cause thine anger toward us to cease. Wilt thou be angry with us for ever? wilt thou draw out thine anger to all generations? Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee? Shew us thy mercy, O LORD, and grant us thy salvation. I will hear what God the LORD will speak: for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints: but let them not turn again to folly. Surely his salvation is nigh them that fear him; that glory may dwell in our land. Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other. Truth shall spring out of the earth; and righteousness shall look down from heaven. Yea, the LORD shall give that which is good; and our land shall yield her increase. Righteousness shall go before him; and shall set us in the way of his steps.-Psalm 85:1-13/the complete psalm

No One at All and Nothing at All

The Words of
Jesus the Christ,
the Son of God:

No man, when he hath lighted a candle, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but setteth it on a candlestick, that they which enter in may see the light. For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad. Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he seemeth to have. Then came to him his mother and his brethren, and could not come at him for the press. And it was told him by certain which said, Thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to see thee. And he answered and said unto them, My mother and my brethren are these which hear the word of God, and do it.-Luke 8:16-21***Sometime after Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and born in Bethlehem, Judea, into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream and spoke to Joseph. Afterwards, Joseph, Mary and Jesus stayed in Egypt until an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream and spoke to Joseph. After Joseph received another divine warning, Joseph, Mary and Jesus lived in Nazareth, the hometown of Joseph and Mary in Galilee. James, Joses (Joseph), Juda (Judas), Simon, and their unnamed sisters lived in the home in Nazareth with Joseph, Mary and Jesus. Approximately 30 years after Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by Mary's relative John the Baptist, from the tribe of Levi. Jesus taught that his brother, sister and mother are the people who do the will of the Lord God, and his mother and brothers are those hearing and doing the word of the Lord God. Less than 3 1/2 years after Jesus was baptized, Jesus was betrayed by Judas Iscariot the disciple and apostle, and Jesus was arrested, crucified, buried in a tomb, resurrected, seen by over 500 people, and returned to heaven. James, a servant of the Lord God and a servant of the Lord Jesus Christ, was divinely inspired to write The Epistle of James. The 1st chapter of the epistle contains revelations about doers and hearers of the word of the Lord.-Genesis 11:26-35:29, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26, James

Duration of the Situation

Jacob (Israel) and his son Joseph

And Israel dwelt in the land of Egypt, in the country of Goshen; and they had possessions therein, and grew, and multiplied exceedingly. And Jacob lived in the land of Egypt seventeen years: so the whole age of Jacob was an hundred forty and seven years. And the time drew nigh that Israel must die: and he called his son Joseph, and said unto him, If now I have found grace in thy sight, put, I pray thee, thy hand under my thigh, and deal kindly and truly with me; bury me not, I pray thee, in Egypt: But I will lie with my fathers, and thou shalt carry me out of Egypt, and bury me in their buryingplace. And he said, I will do as thou hast said. And he said, Swear unto me. And he sware unto him. And Israel bowed himself upon the bed's head
.-Genesis 47:27-31***Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun, and daughter Dinah were born to Jacob (Israel) and his 1st wife Leah.
Dan and Naphtali were born to Jacob and maidservant Bilhah. Gad and Asher were born to Jacob and maidservant Zilpah.  Joseph and Benjamin were born to Jacob and his 2nd wife Rachel.  Rachel and Joseph were Jacob's favorites. When Joseph was at least 17 years old, his brothers sold him to merchants traveling to Egypt and led Jacob to believe that Joseph was killed by a wild beast. The merchants sold Joseph to Potiphar, an Egyptian official. After Potiphar's wife made a false accusation, Potiphar put Joseph in prison. At least 2 years after Joseph explained the meaning of a dream to the imprisoned cupbearer who served Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, and explained the meaning of a dream to Pharaoh's imprisoned baker, 30-year-old Joseph explained the meaning of a dream to Pharaoh, and Pharaoh proclaimed Joseph second-in-command. Pharaoh gave Joseph a different name and arranged for Asenath, the daughter of an Egyptian priest, to become Joseph's wife. During a famine, Jacob sent Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Dan, Naphtali, Gad, Asher, Issachar, and Zebulun to Egypt from their home in Canaan. Joseph's brothers unknowingly spoke and interacted with Joseph. Before Joseph allowed his brothers to return to Jacob and their families, Joseph accused his brothers of being spies. Joseph demanded that his 10 brothers bring Benjamin to Egypt, and Joseph imprisoned his brothers for 3 days. Afterwards, Joseph kept Simeon imprisoned, and gave his other brothers corn, provisions and the money they brought with them, and the 9 brothers returned to Canaan. While the famine continued,  Joseph's brothers returned to Egypt with Benjamin. Joseph spoke and interacted with his brothers again and set a trap. When Joseph's brothers were returning to Canaan, Joseph sent his steward to bring his brothers back, and Joseph gradually identified himself to them, and explained the will of the Lord God to his brothers. Joseph gave his brothers a message for Jacob, and told his brothers to bring their families, including Jacob, and their possessions to Egypt and enjoy the benefits he was able to provide. Moreover, Pharaoh expressed his generosity and hospitality. During the journey from Canaan, the Lord God spoke to 130-year-old Jacob. In Egypt, Jacob proclaimed Manasseh and Ephraim, the sons born to Joseph and Asenath, to be his own sons. After 147-year-old Jacob died in Egypt, Jacob's family buried his body in Canaan, in the cave on land bought by Jacob's grandfather Abraham (Abram the Hebrew). Sometime after 110-year-old Joseph and his siblings were dead, their descendants the Israelites were enslaved in Egypt. Miriam and her younger brothers Aaron and Moses were born into the tribe of Levi. When Moses was 80 years old and Aaron was 83, the Lord God sent them to speak to the Israelite elders and Pharaoh. Them, too

 Some of the words that
Jesus the Christ, the Son of God,
spoke to a group of Pharisees

Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I  am the door of the sheep. All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep. The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep. I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine. As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep. And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd. Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father. There was a division therefore again among the Jews for these sayings. And many of them said, He hath a devil, and is mad; why hear ye him? Others said, These are not the words of him that hath a devil. Can a devil open the eyes of the blind?
-John 10:7-21***The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that the Lord God created the heavens and the earth in the beginning, and on the 6th day, the Lord God created Adam, the 1st man, and on the 7th day the Lord God rested and was refreshed. The Lord God formed Adam from the dust of the ground, and the Lord God made Adam's wife Eve, the mother of all living, after taking a part out of Adam. The Lord God blessed them, and gave them commands, and gave Adam commands about the trees in the Garden of Eden. Eve was deceived, and Adam listened to Eve and disobeyed the command of the Lord God. Sin entered into the world through Adam, and death entered through sin. Sometime after the Lord God sent Adam out of the Garden of Eden, Cain and Abel were born to Adam and Eve, and sometime after Cain killed Abel, Seth was born to 130-year-old Adam and Eve. Seth's great-great-great-grandson Enoch was the great-grandfather of Noah the ark builder. Shem was born to Noah, and Arphaxad was born to Shem. Arphaxad was the great-great-great-great-great-grandfather of Terah. Nahor (Nachor),
Abraham (Abram the Hebrew), Haran, and Sarah (Sarai) were born to Terah. The Lord God told childless Abraham that he would make Abraham a great nation, and bless Abraham, and make Abraham's name great, and bless those who bless Abraham, and curse those who curse Abraham, and Abraham shall be a blessing, and in Abraham shall all the families of the earth be blessed. Bethuel the Syrian (Aramean) was born to Nahor and Milcah, Haran's daughter. Shem's son Aram was the forefather of the Arameans. Ishmael was born in Canaan to 86-year-old Abraham and Hagar, Sarah's maidservant. When Abraham was 99 years old, the Lord God gave him the covenant of circumcision, and Abraham circumcised 13-year-old Ishmael, and Abraham and the males throughout Abraham's household and property were immediately circumcised. Isaac was born to 100-year-old Abraham and 90-year-old Sarah. On the 8th day after Isaac was born, Abraham circumcised Isaac. Laban the Syrian (Aramean) and Rebekah were born to Bethuel. Forty years after Isaac was born, he was married to Rebekah. Fraternal twin sons Esau (Edom) and Jacob (Israel) were born to 60-year-old Isaac and Rebekah. Esau was Isaac's favorite, and Jacob was Rebekah's favorite. In Padan Aram, Haran, Jacob was married to Laban's daughters Leah and Rachel. Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun, and daughter Dinah were born to Jacob and Leah. Dan and Naphtali were born to Jacob and Bilhah, Rachel's maidservant. Gad and Asher were born to Jacob and Zilpah, Leah's maidservant. Joseph was the 1st son born to Jacob and Rachel, and Rachel and Joseph were Jacob's favorites. During Jacob's 20th year in Haran, he began journeying home to Canaan with his family, servants, animals, and possessions. Near Bethlehem, Benjamin was born to Jacob and Rachel, and Rachel died. Joseph was 17 years old when his brothers sold him to merchants traveling to Egypt and led Jacob to believe that Joseph was killed by a wild beast, and Joseph was 30 years old when Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, proclaimed him second-in-command. Jacob was 130 years old when he moved with his family from Canaan to Egypt. In Egypt, Jacob proclaimed Manasseh and Ephraim, the sons born to Joseph and his wife Asenath, to be his own sons, and the tribe of Joseph became the tribe of Manasseh and the tribe of Ephraim. Over 1,800 years after Jacob blessed his sons and proclaimed the Lord God to be the Shepherd, the Stone of Israel, and 147-year-old Jacob died in Egypt, and Jacob's family buried his body in Canaan, the angel Gabriel appeared to elderly, childless Zechariah (Zacharias) the priest and told Zechariah that his prayer was heard, and told him about the conception, birth and purpose of the son who would be born to Zechariah and his wife Elizabeth (Elisabeth). The angel Gabriel told Zechariah to name the child John, and said the birth of John was going to cause rejoicing and gladness, and John would be great in the eyes of the Lord, and would be filled with the Holy Spirit (Holy Ghost) while in Elizabeth's womb, and would bring many Israelites back to the Lord, and prepare people for the Lord. During the 6th month that elderly Elizabeth was carrying John the Baptist in her womb, the Lord God sent the angel Gabriel to Elizabeth's relative Mary, a virgin. The angel Gabriel said Mary was favored with grace, and the Lord was with Mary, and Mary was blessed among women. The angel Gabriel told Mary not to fear, and said Mary had favor with the Lord God, and said Mary would give birth to a Son, and Mary was to name the Son Jesus, and Jesus, the Son of the Highest (the Most High), would be conceived of the Holy Spirit in Mary's womb. Joseph was the craftsman pledged to wed Mary. After Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in Mary's womb when Mary was a virgin, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph when Joseph was asleep and told Joseph, in a dream, not to be afraid to receive Mary as his wife, and explained that the child in Mary's womb was conceived of the Holy Spirit, and Joseph was to name the Son Jesus, and Jesus will save his people from their sins. Months after John the Baptist was born into the tribe of Levi to Zechariah and Elizabeth, Jesus, the Christ, the Son of God, was born in Bethlehem into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. On the 8th day after John the Baptist was born, he was circumcised, and on the 8th day after Jesus the Christ was born, Jesus was circumcised. During the 12th year after John the Baptist and Jesus the Christ were born, Joseph and Mary found Jesus in Jerusalem, in the temple of the Lord, listening, asking, understanding, and answering. In Galilee, Jesus told specific Israelite men to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites, the treasured and chosen people of the Lord God. Before Jesus was betrayed, arrested, crucified, buried in a tomb, resurrected, seen by over 500 people, and returned to heaven less than 3 1/2 years after he was baptized, Jesus healed a multitude of Gentiles, people not born into the Israelite tribes, and Jesus identified himself as the Son of man, the bread of life, the living bread, the light of the world, the resurrection and the life, the way and the truth and the life, the vine, the true vine, the door of the sheep, the good shepherd, Messiah who is called Christ, and the Son of God.-Genesis, Exodus, Numbers 13:1-14:45, 20:1-29, 27:1-27:23, Deuteronomy 31:1-34:12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-2:23, Ruth, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings, 2 Kings, 1 Chronicles, 2 Chronicles, Ezra 1:1-11, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26
