Otherwise, They'll Repent and Return

Events that occurred after the Lord God brought the

10th and final plague upon Pharaoh and Egypt, and the 

Israelites obeyed the commands that the Lord God gave

Moses for the Passover, and Moses and Aaron led the

 Israelites away from Egyptian slavery:

And it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God led them not through the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, Lest peradventure the people repent when they see war, and they return to Egypt: But God led the people about, through the way of the wilderness of the Red sea: and the children of Israel went up harnessed out of the land of Egypt. And Moses took the bones of Joseph with him: for he had straitly sworn the children of Israel, saying, God will surely visit you; and ye shall carry up my bones away hence with you. And they took their journey from Succoth, and encamped in Etham, in the edge of the wilderness. And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night: He took not away the pillar of the cloud by day, nor the pillar of fire by night, from before the people.-Exodus 13:17-22

And they come again to Jerusalem: and as he was walking in the temple, there come to him the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders, And say unto him, By what authority doest thou these things? and who gave thee this authority to do these things? And Jesus answered and said unto them, I will also ask of you one question, and answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things. The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or of men? answer me. And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say, Why then did ye not believe him? But if we shall say, Of men; they feared the people: for all men counted John, that he was a prophet indeed. And they answered and said unto Jesus, We cannot tell. And Jesus answering saith unto them, Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things.-Mark 11:27-33***Over 1,500 years before John the Baptist was born into the tribe of Levi to Zechariah (Zacharias) the priest and his wife  Elizabeth (Elisabeth), and Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Elizabeth's relative Mary, a virgin, and born into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin, Miriam and her younger brothers Aaron and Moses were born into the tribe of Levi to Amram and Jochebed. When Moses was 80 years old and Aaron was 83, the Lord God sent them to speak to the Israelite elders and Pharaoh, the king of Egypt. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that the Lord God went before them in a pillar of cloud by day and in a pillar of fire by night, and all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and sea.  Approximately 30 years after John the Baptist and Jesus the Christ were born, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by John the Baptist. Jesus having prayed, the heavens tearing open, the Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus. The Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. Jesus fasted 40 days and nights and was tempted. Afterwards, Jesus was tended to by angels, and Jesus went to the area near John the Baptist, and John the Baptist proclaimed Jesus to be the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the world, and testified that Jesus is the Son of God. In Galilee, Jesus told specific Israelite men to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites, the treasured and chosen people of the Lord God. Before and after John the Baptist baptized Jesus, John the Baptist was baptizing sin confessors with water unto repentance, and proclaiming a baptism of repentance for forgiveness of sins. John the Baptist taught that he was from the earth and Jesus is from heaven and is above all. Jesus taught listeners that he came down from heaven to do the will of his Father, the Lord God in heaven who sent him. Herod Antipas the tetrarch, ruler of Judea for the Roman Empire, imprisoned John the Baptist and John the Baptist was beheaded. And it came to pass in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, that this word came unto Jeremiah from the LORD, saying, Take thee a roll of a book, and write therein all the words that I have spoken unto thee against Israel, and against Judah, and against all the nations, from the day I spake unto thee, from the days of Josiah, even unto this day. It may be that the house of Judah will hear all the evil which I purpose to do unto them; that they may return every man from his evil way; that I may forgive their iniquity and their sin.-Jeremiah 36:1-3

Then Jeremiah called Baruch the son of Neriah: and Baruch wrote from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of the LORD, which he had spoken unto him, upon a roll of a book.-Jeremiah 36:4

So Baruch the son of Neriah took the roll in his hand, and came unto them. And they said unto him, Sit down now, and read it in our ears. So Baruch read it in their ears. Now it came to pass, when they had heard all the words, they were afraid both one and other, and said unto Baruch, We will surely tell the king of all these words. And they asked Baruch, saying, Tell us now, How didst thou write all these words at his mouth? Then Baruch answered them, He pronounced all these words unto me with his mouth, and I wrote them with ink in the book. Then said the princes unto Baruch, Go, hide thee, thou and Jeremiah; and let no man know where ye be.-Jeremiah 36:11-19 

And they went in to the king into the court, but they laid up the roll in the chamber of Elishama the scribe, and told all the words in the ears of the king. So the king sent Jehudi to fetch the roll: and he took it out of Elishama the scribe's chamber. And Jehudi read it in the ears of the king, and in the ears of all the princes which stood beside the king. Now the king sat in the winterhouse in the ninth month: and there was a fire on the hearth burning before him. And it came to pass, that when Jehudi had read three of four leaves, he cut it with the penknife, and cast it into the fire that was on the hearth, until all the roll was consumed in the fire that was on the hearth. Yet they were not afraid, nor rent their garments, neither the king, nor any of his servants that heard all these words. Nevertheless Elnathan and Delaiah and Gemariah had made intercession to the king that he would not burn the roll: but he would not hear them. But the king commanded Jerahmeel the son of Hammelech, and Seraiah the son of Azriel, and Shelemiah the son of Abdell, to take Baruch the scribe and Jeremiah the prophet: but the LORD hid them.-Jeremiah 36:20-26

Then the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah, after that the king had burned the roll, and the words which Baruch wrote at the mouth of Jeremiah, saying, Take thee again another roll, and write in it all the former words that were in the first roll, which Jehoiakim the king of Judah hath burned. And thou shalt say to Jehoiakim king of Judah, Thus saith the LORD, Thou hast burned this roll, saying, Why hast thou written therein, saying, The king of Babylon shall certainly come and destroy this land, and shall cause to cease from thence man and beast? Therefore thus saith the LORD of Jehoiakim king of Judah; He shall have none to sit upon the throne of David: and his dead body shall be cast out in the day to the heat, and in the night to the frost. And I will punish him and his seed and his servants for their iniquity; and I will bring upon them, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and upon the men of Judah, all the evil that I have pronounced against them; but they hearkened not.-Jeremiah 36:27-31

Then took Jeremiah another roll, and gave it to Baruch the scribe, the son of Neriah; who wrote therein from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of the book which Jehoiakim king of Judah had burned in the fire: and there were added besides unto them many like words.-Jeremiah 36:32

Looking Like a Bunch of Righteous Guys

Jesus the Christ,

the Son of God:

And he said unto them in his doctrine, Beware of the scribes, which love to go in long clothing, and love salutations in the marketplaces, And the chief seats in the synagogues, and the uppermost rooms at feasts: Which devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayers: these shall receive greater damnation.-Mark 12:38-40***In the divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible, scribes are not mentioned until the reign of King David, the 2nd king to rule over all of the Israelites in the Promised Land. Scribes were specifically educated Israelites who could accurately transcribe, copy, and record information. Moreover, scribes were taught, and could teach, all of the laws that the Lord God gave Moses for the Israelites, the treasured and chosen people of the Lord God. Solomon was the 2nd child born to David and Bathsheba. Before 70-year-old David died, Solomon became the 3rd king to rule over all of the Israelites in the Promised Land, the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham (Abram the Hebrew), and to Abraham's son Isaac, and to Isaac's youngest fraternal twin son Jacob (Israel), and to their descendants.  Elihoreph and Ahiah served as scribes during Solomon's 40-year reign. Rehoboam, the son born to Solomon and Naamah, was the 4th king to rule over all of the Israelites. After Rehoboam gave a specific answer, the Israelites split into 2 kingdoms, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of Solomon. Judah was the nation in the south, Jerusalem was the royal city, and Rehoboam was the 1st king to reign. Israel was the northern nation, Samaria was the final royal city, and Jeroboam, the son born to Nebat and Zeruah, was the 1st king to reign. Throughout Jeroboam's 22-year reign and the reign of every king who ruled the northern nation of Israel before the Assyrians conquered Samaria during the 9th year of the reign of King Hoshea, the 19th king to rule the kingdom, no scribes were identified by name. Jeiel the scribe served during the reign of Rehoboam's great-great-great-great-great-great-grandson Uzziah (Azariah), the 9th king to rule Judah. Shebna the scribe served during the 29-year reign of Uzziah's great-grandson Hezekiah, the 12th king to rule Judah. Shaphan the scribe served during the 31-year reign of Hezekiah's great-grandson Josiah, the 15th king to rule Judah. During the 11-year reign of Josiah's son Jehoiakim (Eliakim), the 17th king to rule Judah, Elishama served as scribe, and the Babylonians (Chaldeans) invaded Judah and Jerusalem, and King Nebuchadnezzar, ruler of Babylon, began looting the temple of the Lord. Meanwhile, Baruch the scribe was working and assisting Jeremiah the prophet. Jehoiachin (Jeconiah/Coniah), the son born to Jehoiakim and Nehushta, was the 18th king to rule Judah. During Jehoiachin's 3-month reign, the Babylonians took more prominent Israelites, including Jehoiachin, his wives and mother, to Babylon. Zedekiah (Mattaniah), the son born to Josiah and Hamutal, was the 19th king to rule Judah, and Jonathan was a scribe. In the 11th year of Zedekiah's reign, the Babylonians conquered Jerusalem and took an unnamed scribe and at least 70 other Israelites to Babylon and killed them. Less than 70 years after Jerusalem was conquered, King Cyrus, ruler of the Persian Empire, allowed Israelites to return to Judah and Jerusalem and build the Lord God a temple. Shimshai the scribe, Zadok the scribe, and Ezra the priest, prophet and scribe worked among the Israelites. Over 400 years after Ezra led the Israelites to make a confession to the Lord God, John the Baptist and Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, were born. John the Baptist was born into the tribe of Jacob's 3rd born son Levi to Zechariah (Zacharias) the priest and his wife Elizabeth (Elisabeth). Jesus the Christ was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Elizabeth's relative Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Jacob's 4th born son Judah, the tribe of David and his descendants, all of Judah's kings, to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Approximately 30 years after John the Baptist and Jesus the Christ were born, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by John the Baptist. Jesus having prayed, the heavens tearing open, the Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus. The Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. Jesus fasted 40 days and nights and was tempted. Afterwards, Jesus was tended to by angels, and Jesus went to the area near John the Baptist, and John the Baptist proclaimed Jesus to be the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the world, and testified that Jesus is the Son of God. In Galilee, Jesus told specific Israelite men to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites, the treasured and chosen people of the Lord God. Jesus taught about righteousness and the scribes, and the traditions that the scribes followed, and conditions for obeying the scribes. Jesus described scribes to his disciples and told his disciples that the scribes would be involved in getting him betrayed and crucified.  Jesus knew the thoughts of the scribes, and proclaimed scribes to be hypocrites, and spoke of his homelessness to a scribe, and spoke of the kingdom of God to a scribe, and spoke of the righteous, sinners, sin, and his power to scribes. There Was a Whole Lot of Killing Going On

And Moses sent to spy out Jaazer, and they took the villages thereof, and drove out the Amorites that were there. And they turned and went up by the way of Bashan: and Og the king of Bashan went out against them, he, and all his people, to the battle at Edrei. And the LORD said unto Moses, Fear him not: for I have delivered him into thy hand, and all his people, and his land; and thou shalt do to him as thou didst unto Sihon king of the Amorites, which dwelt at Heshbon. So they smote him, and his sons, and all his people, until there was none left him alive: and they possessed his land.-Numbers 21:32-35***Moses was 80 years old and his brother Aaron was 83 when the Lord God sent them to speak to the Israelite elders and Pharaoh, the king of Egypt. After the Lord God brought the 10th and final plague upon Pharaoh and Egypt, Moses and Aaron led the Israelites, and those with them, away from Egyptian slavery and across the divinely parted Red Sea. In the desert wilderness Shur, Moses obeyed the commands of the Lord God, and the bitter waters became drinkable. In the desert wilderness of Sin, the Lord God began to rain down manna, bread from heaven, for the Israelites. In Rephidim, Moses obeyed the commands of the Lord God and the Israelites were able to drink water that came out from a rock. Joshua, Moses' aide from the tribe of Ephraim, led the Israelites to victory over the Amalekites in Rephidim, according to the will of the Lord God. In the desert wilderness of Sinai, the Lord God descended upon Mount Sinai in fire, and the Israelites heard the voice of the Lord God proclaim the Ten Commandments to them, and the Lord God began giving Moses judgments, statutes and laws for the Israelites, and the Lord God made a covenant with the Israelites.  While Moses was upon Mount Sinai with the Lord God 40 days and nights, the Israelites told Aaron to make gods for them, and the Israelites worshiped the golden calf that Aaron made. Israelites from the tribe of Levi, the birth tribe of Aaron, Moses and their older sister Miriam, obeyed the words spoken by Moses and killed approximately 3,000 men. Sometime thereafter, Aaron's sons Nadab and Abihu offered strange fire to the Lord God, and fire went out from the Lord God and devoured Nadab and Abihu. In the desert wilderness of Sinai, the Israelites kept the Passover. In Taberah, the fire of the Lord God consumed some of the people on the outer edges of the camp. The Lord God struck with a great plague the people in Kibroth-hattaavah who specifically lusted. In Hazeroth, Miriam became a leper. In the desert wilderness of Paran, Moses sent 12 Israelites, including Joshua and Caleb, as spies to Canaan, the Promised Land. Caleb and Joshua returned from Canaan and spoke faithfully of the Lord God. The other 10 spies proclaimed evil to the Israelites, and those 10 spies died by the plague. Shortly thereafter, Amalekites and Canaanites successfully attacked a group of Israelites, and Korah, Dathan, Abiram, and those with them, were swallowed into the earth, and a fire came out from the Lord God and consumed Korah's 250 supporters. Almost immediately after the 250 died, 14,700 Israelites died in a plague. During the 40-year journey to the Promised Land, Miriam the prophetess died in Kadesh, in the desert wilderness of Zin. Moreover, in Kadesh, Moses and Aaron did not obey the command of the Lord God. Upon Mount Hor, 123-year-old Aaron the high priest died. Before Moses went upon Mount Nebo, and the Lord God showed Moses the Promised Land, and 120-year-old Moses the prophet died and was divinely buried, Israelites died after they were bitten by fiery serpents, and Israelites destroyed Canaanites in Hormah, and killed King Sihon and the Amorites of Heshbon, and killed gigantic King Og, and Og's sons and the inhabitants of Bashan, and killed and captured Midianites and their cohort Balaam, and in Shittim, Israelites were killed by Israelites and 24,000 Israelites were killed in the plague. Joshua was Moses' successor and led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham (Abram the Hebrew), and to Abraham's son Isaac, and to Isaac's youngest fraternal twin son Jacob (Israel), and to their descendants. Over 1,300 years after 110-year-old Joshua died and was buried in his tribe's portion of the Promised Land, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born.
